While it is tragic that anyone should lose their home to wildfires, the wealthy who choose to live in remote areas prone toward devastating fires must expect catastrophe from time to time. At any rate, I surmise all their riches are insured, and memories are priceless.

Hmmm... I fail to see how Montecito is "remote" it's right off the freeway and just a few miles from Santa Barbara and the beach. |
