Full story: Baltimore Sun

Steve Carell has always been a master of implosion. He's at his pungent, original best suggesting currents of thought and feeling roiling right beneath the surface and also running deep, so when he lets them ...

I took my children to see the movie and they laughed and enjoyed it. I thought it was a great movie too. All the characters were a good match to the originals. The producers did a good job respecting the old series while providing new material.

oh shutup your just jealous cause you dont act. I think you envy at the fact that steve carell who has a sense of humor unlike you got to film with anne hathaway. i saw and i found it to be very enjoyable. people like you is the reason why people go see boring lame documentaries which drag on for ever. if you dont have anything nice to say keep your rude mouth shut!

I enjoyed the movie thorougly While reading the article, I kept wondering if the writer was there to watch the movie or just watch Steve Carrell. I'm thinking the latter.

We go to the movies (or atleast I do) to be entertained and enteratined I was. That's all that matters really.

No chemistry between 86 and 99?? Seriously? The chemistry between the two is palpable as it develops throughout the movie. 86 comes across as cocksure and able to overcome his weaknesses, and 99 is visibly impressed with his talents as they are unveiled. 99's at first competitive then appreciative expressions during the VERY STAGED dance off, her knowing smile as she walks away over the bridge, the concern on her face as she watches 86 in his cell...ALL CHEMISTRY...a developing and then well developed chemistry displayed clearly and adaptly by two fine acting talents. Get Smart the movie is no black mark on the Get Smart genre: it detracts nothing and adds a nice flair to the TV series of old. Your review does not relate the true character of this movie, nor does it relate it's humor. Leave reviewing comdies to people with a sense of humor.

I think you are totally off. This movie was the funniest movie i have seen in awhile. And I don't care about the theatrical specifics that critics do, I just like good movies that make me laugh and this was deffinately one of them.

You are wrong on this one. The audience I was in was absolutely thrilled with the movie, clapping several times and a majority giving it a standing ovation with cheers at the end. It is too bad that a movie has to have crude humor to be judged funny these days by most reviewers. Go see Get Smart and leave the theatre feeling great for a change.
