Trip to my hometown brings me back to my old playgrounds

Full story: The Leaf-Chronicle

The cover of a recent edition of Country Magazine featured a state park near my hometown of Corbin, Ky., that was a favorite spot for me and my friends during my early years.

This person has no idea where anything is around here. He says that Levi Jackson is halfway between London and Corbin. Last I remember it is real close to the London City limits if they havent already annexed it in. He also said The Falls was 30 miles East of Corbin. It is about 10 miles from the city line. This guy shouldnt write about things he dosent know. I guess that is true with all reporters though. Just make it up as they go!

He DID say that the park was closer to London a couple different times. Also, he said the Falls were 30 MINUTES from Corbin, not 30 miles.

I will appologize about the 30 mile comment. However does it really take anyone 30 minutes to get to the Falls from Corbin? I just think this guy wanted his readers to think he was from the area and obviously he is not!

Yes it does,or longer.try those old curvy roads.call when you get there.this was being kind and assuming he started from the last corbin exit. Most measurements goes from the middle of the city to the place you are going.not the very out skirts of that town.

First off I am not a her, I am a he! Second I just dont think the person who wrote this is actually from the area. That would be like me saying I am from Lexington because I have spent time in RUPP! I have been to the Falls several times and I never thought it took that much time. I am going to drive it tomorrow and time it. The remark about Levi being between London and Corbin just kinda red flagged it for me. I have lived in Corbin for more than 40 years and if we went to Levi as a kid we always said we were going to London to the park.

pothead...lol...that's funny. you know, i lived in london, hell, ky for two years and never could find anywhere to buy decent weed.:)

i did, however, have my birthday at finley's family fun center, whatever it was. that commercial kills me...."oh, please please invite me!"

couldn't find a bar anywhere, so i roller skated and played some stupid video games.

Daily Horoscope for June 17

Aries

Your brain is firing on all cylinders so make the most of this clever interlude while it lasts! You'll be able to come up with some inventive and inspired ideas, especially if you're not afraid to try something new. A loved one might be quite excitable, so they get into a flap about something or they burn up a lot of nervous energy. And it's no good telling them to calm down because it will be a waste of breath.
