Hip hop is failing because all the rappers are starting to destroy it. First thing first lets take the average CD. The artist today can only provide one or two songs worth buying or listening to per CD. It is really rare to get a complete CD that is worth listening to. Next you are all starting to sound alike. A fan could tell the difference between rappers. Busta and the leaders of the new shool sound totally different from KRS-1 who lived not two blocks from one another. Yet most rappers all sound the same. This ringtone rap crap has gone to far. It not even really hip hop. Lastly hip hop has stop relating to its fans and started creating their fans as matter of speaking. You can be the people champ if the people don't know who you are. You can't be the King of rap or hip hop if the old heads don't give you that respect. If the people that pave the way for you to rap give you that respect then you are. If not your lying to yourself. That is why hip hop is dieing. A loyal fan will buy your CD not download a few songs off itunes.
