Someone said to me the other day that the reason why we had not heard of the buena vista social club was it died because of the cuban revolution and its music band. I don't think this is true. Can someone enlighten me on that question please. my email is christopher.fernandez@ntlworld .com

i meant to say that the music of the buena vista social club had died because of the revoultion in the fifties. someone told me that, but i don't think thats true.

Your post is a little bit confusing. In my opinion, the music of the CD known as "Buena Vista Social Club", produced by Ry Cooder, will never die. It is a great work of art that will remain with us for ever and ever.

I enjoy it tremendously every time that I play it. Sadness or any problem that I may have magically disapear and happiness reigns.

Music lives on forever despite wars , government overthrows and oppressive dictatorship. One thing any of these situations could never erase is what music does to people and how people are moved by it. There are many prime examples of that even in the United states back in the slavery days. The slaves sung.
