Do you not feel Brent that it should be the role of the partner to stay the partner and not activly help take a child away from its natural father just because they are in a position to do so - men like this are such low life dont you think !!!! I suppose if the guy is trying to control his world then this happens naturally !!!

I can believe that Bruce has cheated with Patti in the past....if he asked me I sure wouldn't say no....sorry Patti but the man is a gorgeous specimen and if it happened I know I would be weak. I can believe its true, but I ask myself why do I care? I don't know them and have so many of my own issues, why do I read this stuff???? I guess its because I'm up at 6am on my day off and it merrily passes the time until I need to get MY life going! I'm thankful that it is not very often that I succumb to this. I wish Bruce and Patti the best and love their music...always have...will see them in October and cannot wait!!!

Hey Mary: I guess I don't understand your continued obsession to berate him time and time again -- If you don't like him so be it. But I think maybe it's time to get over the bitterness and move on. I doubt that he will lose much sleep given the fact that you are not a non-supporter -- there are plenty of folks out there that are. Not to mention the fact that Springsteen was just named one of the top 8 artists of the decade -- I believe that he has more than proven himself. But nonetheless, feel free to support whomever you like but I don't believe it is necessary to continue to trash him and comment on his personal life unless you have firsthand knowledge and still that is something private that he and his family need to work out.

mary wrote: I have heard a little while back that this couple had some marriage trouble. I believe they do. I believe they are protecting the image they have with the public. Bruce comes off in a lot of different ways to public; for example "The blue collar image, the I'm just a regular working class man; but the fact is Bruce is a very rich rich man and if he flirts and was seen in public with the mystery 9/11 woman then there may be some truth that all is not good. He wants the public to think that he is a great loving family man,but I think he is trying to protect his image. How do we not know for sure that there is an arrangement for his image and kids sake. He is very wealthy and he does not strike me as the type that would put up with an unhappy union ,maybe for now he is trying to adress rumours, but he was married to Julianne Phillips when he was caught disgustingly on a balcony with Patti while still married to a much prettier wowman who stole Bruce from her. Bruce is all about his image for the average middle class working folks; but I think that is phony. He embarresed his first wife shamelessly without regard to her feelings and I think because kids are involved he is just hiding it from the public. Maybe Patti and Bruce have an arrangement after all his friend said "Bruce is a big flirt" I think he is involved with the stunning redhead 9/11 woman he"s been seen around town with. I've heard months ago he moved into a barn on his estate and they both went to marriage counseling, if no kids were involved he"d probably dump Patti. If he really wants to protect his family stop galavating around town with stunning redheads, stop flirting . I do not buy into Springsteen"s denials of problems he is not just an average bluecollar guy he is a wealthy man who can do what he wants and his music is outdated. It's his image concert tours etc. that he is really trying to protect. Good luck Bruce, there something about you that makes me feel your a phony and your music is out dated. Kenney Chesney has you beat as a beautiful singing story teller. Take a tip from the good Dr. from England and take your god dammed medication I agree with "The Boss", Mary. Leave his god dammed private life alone already. You have no right whatsoever to trash him and make indecent and inappropriate comments about his personal life. just because you cant post a comment, doesn't mean you can say whatever the hell you wanted. You don't know B Springsteen personally...so you don't know anything that is based on facts. Take your medications and listen to some of Springsteen's great music...perhaps that will help you to chill out a little. I think it would.

Good points Suzanne. I think there are just a lot of haters in the world, a lot of people who are just jealous and want to hurt those they envy. Sad cases.
I do have to take issue with one person who blamed Bruce's first wife for their problems. Bruce knew she had ambitions in acting when they married. He should have divorced her before taking up with Patti, but life is messy and complicated. He never tried to defend his actions, and treated his first wife very well during the divorce.
As for people calling Patti "homely," I think she's pretty, in a non-super model way. What's wrong with that? I always liked it that Bruce chose Patti. She was clearly a better match, and they were friends for a long time before they got together. That may be why their marriage worked better.
Patti also seems stronger. She went through a lot during that time, a lot of cruel insults, and she just held her head high and showed a lot of grace under the media glare, IMO. She has been with Bruce for two decades now, and is the mother of his three children. How many marriages last that long in these times? Especially marriages to rock stars. Clearly they have tried hard to make their marriage work, against huge odds. I think she deserves some respect for that.
As for Bruce, he has never claimed to be a saint. Yeah, he's made mistakes, messed up, even played the fool sometimes, who hasn't. On the other hand, he's spent decades putting his heart and soul into his music for us, his fans. He has given a lot of money to charities, played lots of benefit concerts, tried to write honest songs about his life and about the working class people he grew up around. There is nothing fake about that.
I know his songs have helped me get through some pretty rough times in my life. They are honest, and somehow even the sad ones are uplifting. The uplifting ones can pull me out of major depressions and through life's many "slings and arrows." Nothing fake about that either.
If he and Patti don't have a perfect marriage, who has. It's their private business, and they are right in keeping it private. I hope they both just keep having better days, they deserve that.
Bruce Springsteen is, IMO, a very decent man who has always tried to do his best, and go that extra mile for people, and somehow managed to be a brilliant artist in the effort. All things considered, I think he did OK.
