Actually, if you listen closely to the song, Beck is right. It is far from flattering in its portrayal of the US.

I believe in what Glenn Beck is trying to do for America. His research department is top notch...he will go to the mat for what he believes and he is not afraid to address issues the national media will not touch. How much have we learned from this brave American? He is shining a light in the darkness that has covered the truth about what is REALLY going on. Do you remember a time when someone has done this? Saying this, I will do my own research to see if I can find the meaning of the lyrics. It looks to me like a anti-war protest song....and, there were a lot of them while we were in Vietnam. I was opposed to the Vietnam war as many of my fellow college students were....I was ashamed of the way the Vietnam vets were treated when they came home.... Bruce Springsteen has very liberal views....if he entertained for John Kerry...perhaps he should do a little research on Kerry's Vietnam experience. Hardly admirable.

Most Americans consider our involvement in Viet Nam to be a blunder. Bruce Springsteen's song, Born In The USA, is iconic because for many it captures the sentiment many felt in the 1980s about that generation's military misadventure. The song was used by corporations to sell their products, and politicians used it as a patriotic tune to play at rallies. It's safe to say Springsteen and this song resonated with mainstream America. And plenty of Americans considered Viet Nam someplace to be avoided. George W Bush, Dick Cheney, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck come to mind (to name a few). So Glenn Beck now blasts the song? He and his Teabag Legions want to say Springsteen is anti American? Teabag Nation wants to attack Springsteen, demean a thirty year old hit song, and defend the Viet Nam war they didn't show up to fight? Have at it. That's why they are fringe characters, far from mainstream America.

While I like Bruce's music, I really don't listen to him anymore. He's gotten too political. He should stick to singing, just as Hollywood should concentrate on "acting".

I never understood how people would think this was a pro America song? Some are so stupid they probably thought American Woman was a pro America song too. Springfield uses Lib mentality to sell songs.

Well, if you listen to the words in the song, Bruce IS kinda talking s**t about his own country. The part about "sent me off to a foreign land, to go and kill the yellow man" is insinuating that we were only there to kill people because they happened to be of the yellow race. Is this suppose dto be an example of left-wing "enlightenment" or "high intellect" that liberals claim to have in such abundance?? Yeah....about that... Wow Bruce...really? You really thought that the Pentagon used up all that blood and Defense money and sent all those troops there just because we wanted to kill the yellow man? How insightful! That is indeed an idiotic presumption for him to make, and it's easy to say s**t like that cuz it sounds good for those that are inclined to believe it (like Marxists) and also it is rhetoric that can't be proven or unproven, just crap that liberals spout off all the time like the putzes that they are. It is funny, though that this song was mistakenly co-opted by patriotic Americans who didn't realize that Springsteen was actually trash talking America in the song. OOPS.

The man is not just crazy, he is dangerous and is putting bad ideas into people who sadly believe every word that comes from his lips. When will FOX news and CNN wise up and throw him out on the street. He is a danger to people who believe him and may take action to please him. The Boss is not anti-American and 'Born in the USA' is not "anti-American," or "propaganda." anyone who believes that and believes him I have some doctor you need to call. We need to STOP people like him, O'Reilly, Hannity, Maddow,Olbermann and other preachers of news on how this country should be, will be or has been run. They are NOT my voice, they are not my family, friends or love ones voices they DO NOT speak for the people of the USA. They are dangerous. BLOCK THEM. Drop there rating. Show them you don't need their bullshit preaching by dropping their ratings. Beck and the rest of them are dangerous and anyone who believe them and what they say needs to get their heads check.

Just more proof that those who watch or listen to Beck, Limbaugh and Fox News are a bunch of fools that are suckers for the right-wing propaganda. Glenn Beck is a psychotic jerk whose family has a history of suicide… let’s hope he keeps the family tradition alive… and soon.
