Country superstar Eddie Montgomery building restaurant near Harrodsburg

Unless Eddie is just wanting this place as a tax write off, it will be closed in six months. I've been through Harrodsburg and they can't even keep a small place open. People are too cheap to pay for a good meal. They are a McDonald's kind of people.

This restaurant is going to be one of the biggest things that ever hit central Ky. It will not just be a food place there will be LIVE entertainment from local talent to Super Stars!! It will a place where conventions can be held. Mark my words. It will be a GREAT asset to Mercer County and MANY surrouding areas. People will be coming from everywhere to this place. Eddie is a Superstar and he will make sure it on the National scene and everyone across the US knows about it.

I have to agree with tim.

I'll tell you what kills Harrodsburg business. The stupid zoning laws about signs. Eddie won't be able to put up a sign advertising his business on the north side of town because it is more than five miles away from Skylar's Landing. Also they don't allow billboards in Mercer County. Yeah they let the old ones stay, but new ones are not allowed. So unless Eddie can bribe some folks, he is SOL!

This is in response to the comment made by both Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney, in regards to the new restaurant opening in Harrodsburg. I have lived here all my life and now have a family of my own to raise. I certainly hope that my son grows up with a better attitude and spirit for people than either of you obviously have. You say you've "passed through" Harrodsburg, well did you stop and meet some of the good, hard working, compassionate people that live here? I think i already know the answer to that one. I say congratulations to Eddie and his family for being thankful of the things that God has given them and wanting to give something back. The next time you are out singing on that stage, where all those fans paid all that money to see you, think about where you came from and remember who it was that has blessed you and given each of you so much. Maybe its time you started giving back instead of making nasty remarks about a town you don"t even know anything about.

So, you became a fan after they made the big time, huh?

Danville screwed up royally by not allowing the zoning change that would have let him build it in Danville, they will regret that big time.

I just hope it don't turn out like Reno's.. That place is just for drunks, after 10:00 it isn't safe...So please keep Eddie's clean and family oriented..

I love and miss Harrodsburg. I hope it is not ruined by development and commercialism while I'm gone. I hope to move back someday.
