What a bunch of morons. Singing and dancing in Bob Evans. As if what they did will produce any measurable results.

Given the choice of staying on the South Side or anywhere in Columbus as opposed to New Albany, it's a no brainer.

Is it any wonder why Bob Evans doesn't want their HQ in the south end. Even the protestors went to a nicer, safer part of town. "Lets protest Bob Evans leaving South High Street by eating breakfast and conducting a protest on Olentangy River Road."

I bet all of the protestors own corporations, and employ 100s of people, so they know what they are protesting about. Could it be better to keep Bob Evans in Ohio, rather than say another state. Next go protest American Greetings in Cleveland, they got money not to move to Il.. Lee Fisher gave a check for 5M to GM in Dayton, I wonder if these folks protested that. For the last 50 years state and local governments have done the same thing. If you want to place blame find out why Columbus ran them off to New Albany.

Wow this is the most pressing issue that these people have found to protest? Now that is sad.

Why didn't they stage this at the restaurant in front of the headquarters on the South side instead of the one on Olentangy? Ummm, that's right, because none of these mamby pamby jackwads wanted to go into this depressed neighborhood. Rather stay in their little yuppie neighborhood and hope they get a nice little video of their "flash mob" for their 15 minutes of fame on YouTube. What a joke!!! Jess Sayin

I will never darken the doorstep of a Bob Evans again. I guess that means I'll never again have the privilege of getting overcharged for crummy service and inedible lard disguised as food.

I wished I would have known since I live right by that Bob Evans and NOT IN THE SOUTH SIDE like some of these other bloggers seem to think. I would have loved to of joined in. It would of been my last time to eat at a Bob Evans as I decided when they USED Columbus as a pawn that I would never frequent their establishment ever again!

Bob Evans should have stayed down on the farm (Rio Grand) and provided jobs there in place of Columbus if you follow the above logic.

Why would anybody in their right mind move anything to New Albany, the ghetto of the rich.

Damn straight, let those corporate scum know Columbus doesn't like being played by the Evans Corporation. Same protests should be held at ALL of their restaurants, it'd serve 'em right. Screw Bob Evans!

What they should really be protesting is the burnt bacon and dry eggs. I have eaten in three different Bob Evans since coming to the Midwest because neighbors and co-workers kept saying "It's great!" and I am shocked that people here think their food is palatable. McDonalds, whose food I despise, makes a far superior pancake and their Egg McMuffin is better than anything on the BE menu. If McD's is kicking your butt on taste, you have a REAL problem with your food. I believe BE to have the worse food of any chain restaurant I have eaten a meal in.

these type of protests are the reason for recent dem failures. The dem party is linked to these juvenile actions

They're not protesting the move, they're protesting the fact that state taxpayer funds were used to help pay for it. Bob Evans even admitted that they had no intention of leaving Ohio. They were looking at 2 locations: Polaris and New Albany. It was in the original Dispatch article last week. Go read it.

Huh wrote: Wow this is the most pressing issue that these people have found to protest? Now that is sad. An interesting point. In Japan people have seen what a catastrophe is......loss of life, unbelievable property damage and now the nuclear contamination problem. But here in Columbus the BIG issue for some protestors is a business moving 10 or so miles. Wow. And by the way, how is it fine for Columbus to coax companies to leave the suburbs to move to Columbus, but it is a travesty for the suburbs to coax companies to move from Columbus to their location.

How much you want to bet that these protesters will move their companies into the old Bob Evans location or even that neighborhood ?
