Another Spears baby is reportedly on the way -- and it's not Britney's. Jamie Lynn Spears, the 16-year-old "Zoey 101" star and sister of Britney Spears, told OK! magazine that she's pregnant and that the father ...

SInce the age of consent is 18 in California, I assume her adult (19years old) live-in boyfried will be charged with statitory rape of a minor (15 or 16 years old at the time of conception).

Her parents should be charged for corruption of a mionor for even allowing a 16 year old to live with an adult.

Yes indeed, move to Louisiana for the kid to have a normal Spears life. Maybe the grandparents who have done such a wonderful job raising their own kids can assist her.

ALL the females in that disfunctional family should take some sex education classes and follow up with parenting classes. The poor babies (My, I didn't expect this!) are to be pitied.

At least she didn't have an abortion. Kudos to her. She clearly has the money to raise the baby. Since it is Christmas, historically the truth be told that when Jesus was born, Mary would have been between 13 and 14 years old.

Many women who are in their 20s, 30s and 40s cannot adequately provide for their children, relying solely on taxpayer money to pay for schools and medical care.

Also, plenty of women in their 20s through 40s, married etc.. have murdered, tortured and abused their children.

Yeah, because her sister and mother have done such a fine, fine job of raising their children and oh yeah, they also "have the money."

Would be more proud if she had not had sex, I agree with the poster above. The male needs to go down for statutory rape

Ok, I have a question. Maybe two.

Why is it that these little idiots are always "shocked" to find themselves pregnant when they've been having unprotected sex?

Are they really that stupid, or has society become so terrified of the idea of both teaching about and using birth control that we're normalizing this?

Now we get to see a screwed up kid making a screwed up kid and it's going to be all over the press forever. The boyfriend needs to sue for full custody of that child and get it away from that family permanently.

TRAINWRECK.

Sidenote: Most gossip sites ran this story about two months ago. Shortly after her mom let her move in with her boyfriend....

Somehow, given the fact that most little sisters want to grow up to be like their big sisters, I find it hard to be shocked by this. But having the money to raise a kid right doesn't mean they have the ability or intellegence or maturity to do so. And to Nck, I was 16 when my first was born, far from rich, but I was married to the father and stayed that way long enough to raise 3 decent boys. How on earth do you think big sis's boys are going to be happy, well-adjusted adults knowing what their mom was doing when she should have been taking care of them. And how the hell do you make a comparison between the Spears and the mother of Jesus Christ? That's just WRONG!!

mom let her move into her bfs place?

actually, how could she have prevented it? When your lazy butt lives off your kids then you cant stop them from doing anything. That's why parents should support the kids, not vice versa. So a 16 yr old with an attitude problem can't cut off mommy's credit card if mommy dares try to parent

Just because she's young doesn't mean her kids will be "screwed up". Messed up people have messed up kids. Regardless of how old they are when they conceive. She may very well be as messed up as her sister is. But we don't know that yet. Unfortunately, there is no law against unstable people having children.

Hey Marc, how much difference is there really, between Britney who can't stay out of trouble long enough for the ink to dry on the court orders, and Lakeisha, who isn't rich, glamorous, famous, and SPOILED ROTTEN? The best thing to be said for Britney is that she K-Fed for back-up!?

And momma Spears is writing a book... outstanding example of first-class parenting there, Lynn! So busy being a stage-mom and neglecting your daughters early childhood morality wiring... SHAMEFUL!!

I am 23, and I have a 19 month old daughter that I am trying to raise in a Christian lifestyle. And I PRAY that she waits to have sex. But let's be realistic here. How many of us had sex by the time we were 16?(NO I am not saying that EVERYONE has sex at 16, nor am I condoning it.) However, to condemn her is ridiculous. First and foremost, this is God's child. And he will weave him/her as he sees fit, regardless of the age of the womb it is being woven in. It is a little unfair to already judge her parenting skills because her sister has made mistakes with her own. GOD has a plan and we are not to question his creation. I hear a lot of you asking "What am I going to tell my child?" Well, for starters, you could tell them that this is one of the MANY consequenses of sex. But that she made a very responsible decision to keep the child. Instead of using abortion as a form of birth control. She does have the finances to raise this child, and if she wasn't in the financial position she is in, perhaps it would be better for her to consider adoption. Bashing her and hiding the facts of life I believe would be more traumatic than talking about sex with your child. Especially if you are trying to prevent them from having premarital sex. Women have been raising children for thousands of years. And they certainly did not wait until 27 years old to have children. Being a first time mom is scary at ANY age. None of us REALLY knew what to do the first time we had a child, let alone had a positive pregnancy test. But that is what motherly instincts are for. I think we all need to have a little more faith in our Creator, whoever you may believe that is. My prayers and joy are with Spears and her boyfriend. After all, this is a woman's one and only chance in life to assist God in a MIRACLE.
