Zsari wrote: <quoted text> Exactly. How many S.Korean, Japanese, & "Taiwanese" are living in China instead of their democratic society pretty much tells it all. Democracy comes after food. It can be said that democracy is food for the mind at best. Not even that. There are Filipinos and Indians working in Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Iraq too. But I am sure that every body wants both plenty of food, money and lots of freedom, democracy. Having both democracy and food for every one is the ultimate goal for every country. Yes or no?

Democracy is not about getting rich, it is about getting poor as the world is slowly finding that out. But... But...., surely everybody's happy because they voted for their cuts in public spending and public service sectors and tax increases and health cuts and education cuts and depreciating currencies.... and businesses and shops closing.... didn't they?

You need to catch up on news here Billy Retardo, Taiwanese actresses are marrying Zhejiang rich men; many rich Taiwanese of Mainland descent are tired of political bickering and your Tu Tai circus show and are moving back to Mainland, you need to catch up and smell the coffee

For poor people still struggling with food and shelter, democrazy is like a fancy handbag, doesn't do them anygood but taking up your limited resources and screwing up their finances. You think a fancy luxury hand bag would help you getting a high pay job but it doesn't cuz for someone still struggling with food and shelter, you won't have the matching high heels and ferrari to match your fancy hand bag so its just something useless. Howevery when you are over the food and shelter stage and became affluent enough to be a, say real estate broker, driving a Lexus and wearing Prada, they that fancy handbag maybe contributing to your overall top real estatee sales person image. For poor countries like India, China, Philipines, democrazy is that useless fancy handbag, doesn't do anything to get poor poeple out of poverty.

The goal of a country shall be prosperity & strength, whereas democracy is merely a system of government.
