I think it will be Lynette who dies. After all, she does have non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. And Edie won't die. Marc Cherry said "There won't be a show without Edie. But one of the main characters will die." and if you want a spoiler, here it is: Victor Lang will die and Gabrielle will be offered his job (which I doubt she'd refuse) and there are rumors Zach will kidnapped Gabrielle.
