A really good article regarding Soul Kitchen. The article says that it's from the night of 22 January 2012 at Soul Kitchen.

Go through the pictures included with the article and there are two pictures of Jon and one of Dorothea.

Thank you Lisa. it's a lovely article.

I especially loved the part about the 11 year old girl who donates her profits from iTunes to the Soul Kitchen. It's great that something like this has caught her imagination so much that she will do that.

You're right, the photos whet the appetite. The food looks really good. I wouldn't use Starbucks as the standard for good coffee though.

And Jon has a new scarf, lol.

Thank you for posting. What a wonderful idea. I wish it was closer so I could help out. Still thinking about making the trip after the winter is over.

Thanks for posting the blog.

If this was really from Jan 22, 2012, Sunday's the JBJSK is only open from 12 - 3pm. If Jon was at Gillette he waited to the last minute to leave and get to the stadium.

Thank you for the link. Love hearing these stories about the Soul Kitchen. This is one thing that the Bongiovi Family can really be proud of. I am happy to see it working out well.

I was lucky enough to be in that direction over the holidays and we went along. Fantastic food and really lovely people that volunteer there. Fully recommend it--it's a little class at a very affordable price.

I appreciate what J&D did with the Soul Kitchen. The atmosphere and food is FAR from the typical "food line" type of place. Diners are treated with dignity...just take a look at the fancy table settings...and look at the delicious gourmet food. No stone was left unturned there! It also preserves the dignity of the patrons by offering food at an affordable price or, if you can't afford it, you can work it off. No one is feeling like they're getting a hand-out. I wish there were more places like this. I wish there were more people like J&D who choose to do good with their money! The world would be a better place!

Take an NJ transit train out of Penn Station NY. It is the NJ Coastline train to Red Bank. The JBJSK is across the street from the train station. The trip is 70-90 minutes with no delays. The fare is currently 29.50 round trip.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Pisces

Relationships are kind of shaky under this Lunar Cycle and you may even get the distinct impression you're heading for a major showdown with a certain someone. Although this feels like a crisis, don't let panic or desperation push you into decisions you would normally steer clear of. You may think you've reached the end of the road, but this isn't a good reason to go off the deep end and make drastic decisions. Proceed with caution!
