Seems like These Days is a favourite among die hard fans. It's my favourite too, just like Keep the Faith. I wish they'd play more songs from these albums, like Bitter wine, it's hard letting you go or Blame it on the love of rock and roll, which I personally like better than Sleep when I'm dead. This song is a statement in the name of rock and roll. And there is one more song I wish they played live: Rich man living in a poor man's house. do you know if they ever played it live?

i LOVED hearing dry county in london this year, and hallelujah was amazing too,and born to be my baby, enjoyed that...crowd went nuts lol
we also got captain crash ...which i'd never heard live before, i'd have liked bed of roses but they can't do them all lol

If i could pick 3 songs they'd play next time i go it'd have to be

1)dirty little secret
2)acoustic version of born to be my baby
3)silent night

unlikely i know lol

I was hoping they would play "Never Say Goodbye" or "She don't know me" at one of their New York shows.(I was at all three..) I was completely disappointed though.... I got to hear Hallelujiah (ha!I know I am not spelling that right....)
I emailed Obie to find out why Jon will play Runaway and none of their older stuff on tour, but he didn't answer...
I think Runaway is played because it was Jon's very first hit and started everything off. It's sentimental. I think everyone would appreciate a few more golden oldies. These Days was a big hit in UK - I think it got to No.1 - so British fans would love to hear songs from that albumn. I seem to remember Obie saying it was one of his favourite albumns too.

Hello everybody - I 'm a newbie from Germany - it's my first post here - I'm begging you for mercy for my english - I 'll do my very best.
I joined four gigs in Germany and one in London - and the set lists were all incredible!

LMAO when he played Mercy for the first time in Munich - he did Blood Money two times, also These days - I swear, I 'm melting away - but the best happened in Frankfurt: I did a banner where you can read "Please play DAMNED - if you dare!" - I was in the 6th or 7th row front of stage - he read it and played it!! Can't believe it until now...

Jon and Richie are both on record as saying they hate the "Bon Jovi" and "7800" records so the liklihood of anything other than Runaway being played is very slim.

Sorry to be the barer of bad news but they hate "She Don't Know Me". They never liked it. They put it on the record because the record company made them. It's the only song to appear on a Bon Jovi record that was not written by someone in the band.

So, do you think if more and more north american fans scream from the hills that they want a shake up, will the setlists change? or do you think it will always be the way it is?
What you said makes complete sense, and I recall the 60 minutes interview and hearing him say those words.
I think for the most part, it will always be like that. We have to realize that the people on this board are diehards and when we go to a show, we are a minority. They basic hit heavy set is what the majority wants.

However by the same token, the people that are there just to hear Bon Jovi's hits aren't necessarily blown away by the recent stuff like Lost Highway and Have a Nice Day. They could replace a few of these songs with the likes of a few rarities that die hards like. Most likely the casual fans will like these more sense it is similar to the Slippery stuff that they would prefer to hear.

Sorry if I come across as a know-it-all or seem like I'm ranting but this has been something that has been bothering me for a long time as I have seen them many times over the years and I have gotten way too many similar sets.

Songs that haven't been performed in a while:
In and Out Of Love
Little Bit Of Soul
I have a lot of favorites that they have played recently but minimally like:
Hey God
Dry County
Love For Sale
Never Say Goodbye
Damned
Livin' In Sin
Wild Is The Wind
At the final show in Chicago last February which I was lucky enough to be at, they did Livin in Sin, Wild is the Wind and I'd Die For You. Well, I had never heard any of those live before and to throw all three in, let's just say I was just about over the edge. It was awesome. I am still longing to hear Dry County live.

I do see your point. I have had enough of "Shout." I would much rather hear them do something of their own.

Yeah I was at the Giants Show and heard them too!
Glad you had a good time at the show in Chicago. That was good setlist in my opnion despite the Lost Highway songs.

At the final show of the Lost Highway tour at Madison Square Garden, Jon sang Livin in Sin and I couldn't believe it. It was great to hear it too, I wasn't expecting it and I'm sure every one else wasn't either. I don't think I ever heard them sing that and if I did it was many moons ago.

I don't know how reliable wikipedia is but i do know that they felt that they hadn't found their nich on the album as songwriters, it was on the whole a very dark album and just what they feel not the best they could do.

yeah I have heard pretty much the same thing. That is to bad. i thought Only Lonely and Silent Night and some of the others were great classic bon jovi songs in my opinion. It is by no means my favorite album but I still think it was great.

Off the top of my head, would love to hear "Thank You For Loving Me" and "Thief of Hearts". Bells of Freedom would be really nice, too.
