Songs that haven't been performed in a while:
In and Out Of Love
Little Bit Of Soul

I have a lot of favorites that they have played recently but minimally like:
Hey God
Dry County
Love For Sale
Never Say Goodbye
Damned
Livin' In Sin
Wild Is The Wind

At a show I attended my friend had a banner requesting Something to Believe In, but it wasn't played. But JBJ did look right at it.

I don't think they've forgotten. When you play a show, you're playing for the masses...and I guess the assumption is, more people will know songs off of albums that sold better than ones that did not. From what I've been told, TD wasn't a big seller here. It's one of my faves.

That's where some of my inside info comes in. Let's just say certain band members have not forgotten about their older songs but there are others who refuse and/or are too lazy to put them on the setlist.

I dont understand why These Days didnt do very well...it is one of my favs as well. Your right I am sure they havent forgtten these older hits...But probably people who have not known Bon Jovi as long do not know these songs so that could be why they are not played. Plus some songs may be harder fo Jon to sing...like These Days I know is hard for him to sing as in 1996 he had a hard time with it but it still was great!

It doesnt seem like it would take much effort to change up a setlist...Plus somtimes Jon will change things up just as the band is walking to the stage...

I figured as much. Just frustrating to see such amazing setlists in Europe, but somehow those songs didn't make the list... I guess that certain band member(s) refused to put those on the setlist for the North American crowd. Oh well...that's life, i guess.

That's where the lazy comes in. It's like Jon said on the 60 miinutes interview: "people pay me to shake my ass". Also multiple members of the band have said that in general American audiences know the choruses but European audiences know the verses and the choruses.

European audiences are not happy with standard sets and don't pay to see Jon shake his and have a night out the way typical American audiences do. So therefore, that is why the sets were mixed up a lot more in Europe than anywhere else.

So, do you think if more and more north american fans scream from the hills that they want a shake up, will the setlists change? or do you think it will always be the way it is?
What you said makes complete sense, and I recall the 60 minutes interview and hearing him say those words.

You may be right I suppose...Jon is a musician but he is also a buisnessman. He is smart and knows where the money is and knows how people are and what people want. People like us who are more "Die Hard, know every word to evry song fans" are probaly the minoraty :[ I woldnt call Jon lazy...I would call him smart. And critisizing jon may stir controversy...better to be safe and move on to somthing else.[I dont know how this sounds to you. Over internet things can be taken the wrong way. so sorry if ive offended you jonrichie.

thanks for the info JonRichie. I think a few things influence the setlist. Where they play in the world and Richie once said also depends on how Jon's voice is holding up. I think when the set list is done they also have to take into account the majority of people there, not just us die hard fans who know every song.

I was hoping they would play "Never Say Goodbye" or "She don't know me" at one of their New York shows.(I was at all three..) I was completely disappointed though.... I got to hear Hallelujiah (ha!I know I am not spelling that right....)

I emailed Obie to find out why Jon will play Runaway and none of their older stuff on tour, but he didn't answer...
