MMM another person deleted for asking questions. If you have nothing to hide, why censor people?
Seems like maybe they are not selling enough bracelets. I wonder why that is? Paying $35 for a paper bracelet, some home made swag, karaoke, a cover band (and not a good one) tatoo contest, and meeting people who willingly pay money to stangers, why in the world would you go to Asbury park a few weeks earlier and pay $75 to just see the real band?????

I hope they asked permission of all the owners to use all the photos they included, but somehow I doubt it...especially for the Bergman or Bon Jovi shots. It also seems to me like they are now pushing the "proceeds will be donated" aspect way more than they have in the past. Maybe they feel it will sell more of their paper "bracelets". Lots of organizers for fundraising events donate their time and never take any reimbursement for expenses...travel, hotel, food/drinks. Somehow, I have the suspicion that will not be the case this time and they should be advertising net proceeds after all our personal expenses have been covered. BUT that is just my own opinion....and I can no longer ask the question directly to them as they have deleted me from their Facebook group. They have also disabled comments on the youtube video. I also doubt that they took the time to find the owners of the photographs to ask for permission, not even the official ones. It's definitely interesting, to see the new prominent twist to their advertising with this video, the donation aspect and support for Jon's charities, when in the past the only times they seemed to bring it up, was when someone on the Alert/Beware FB page, would mention they never mentioned it any more. Disabled the comments on YT, but of course! It would be too much work to have to delete the people that ask questions, so better not to give the chance, like with their FB page.

Very sad news (according to Jovi Con), to have to announce they are stopping tickets sales, so you better get your bracelet (for another 24 hrs.) or you will miss out on this great event.
Interesting that they claim to have been "in communication" with Matt Bongiovi, that told them he is NOT going to do anything to stop their event, so... why stop sales so suddenly? Is it not the object to make money to donate to Jon's charities?

That is a good point! Why stop sales? Certainly haven't sold the capacity for SP.
Communication with Matt? Do we REALLY know if this is true? No. Been many lies so this could be another one. Maybe it was just friending Bongiovi Sauce on FB.
They also admitted that they are a "work in progress". This late in the game they are still ???? They have been at this since May. If so, then that just further demonstrates how totally disorganized they are.
BJM will not stop them because they know this event will be so unprofessional that people will know that this event could never be put on by anyone associated with BJM

One thing we have to admit, and is that loyalty has its rewards, those winning their contests are their most active supporters,(or the only supporters?).
When important questions, like saying they need to know if people under 18 will be attending, only 5/6 people reply. Or those going have a "blind" faith about the event and everything going as planned, or only a handful or people seem to even care/going, the rest of the posters are treating the page, like the old Gutter girls thread in the FC boards, posting the most suggestive pictures and lewd comments.

So they are no longer selling "bracelets" but are advertising the event on Entertainment Tonight and Slippery When Wet's FB page AND New York Times and NY radio. Don't you adverize first and sell after. Another example of their amateur ability

They never stopped the sale after announcing it would be only an hour more, then they posted 24 hrs... and that was about a week ago. Now they are requesting those going, which 3 rare songs they want SWW to perform, SAME question they posted months ago, having the result (or so it was announced), that Damned was the lead song. With so many organizers, you would think they were more organized, LOL

It seems that one organizer doesn't know what the other is doing. Seems to hint that this event will be a disorganized mess! Yes, SP will remember this event but for the wrong reasons. All their few supporters that post on their FB page and website seem to care about are pictures of the band. Any question/comment by the Con about the event is sidetracked by comments on pictures . Then there are posts by some of th organizers that they have to take a break or are leaving. Never any response to that by their followers. They were going to hand over their page to someone else as it was too exhausting and then never another word. People with bracelets, should really reconsider as these inconsistencies become more and more frequent

They had so many offers that they needed to figure out, who would be the one, but still nothing changed, and people are trusting these women? Still amazed of the blind faith that the name Jovi carries around, because it can not possible be the organizers.

AND, the bracelets were NEVER taken off the market even though they gave a 24 hour deadline at one point and a few other times said they were ending sales. ANOTHER lie! This is what happens when disorganized amateurs try to run an event. You don't BEGIN sales 11 months before the event and expect to keep up the momentum/interest for that long period of time.

Update - wouldn't want the con to think we have forgotten them! Tickets are still on sale but NOW none will be sold at the door. Interesting as before it was announced thatsome would be sold at the door for $45.
The fb page has turned into a picture page much like the OLM thread on BS. I would think that if you are running an event, your website and FB page would be about the event and not reduced to pictures and comments. Apparently the posters are more interested in the pictures because when Con asks a question there are few or no responses. But when a [picture is posted there are many responses.
Con has never still identified themselves but drop little hints like Nikki or Jen sometimes signing posts. Organizers post they need a break, they are looking for people to take over the FB page as it is too much work for whichever con posted that request and then nothing more is said.
They have a new logo and are using the SK and JBJSF logos on it. Did they get permission to use these logos ? Now they are playing up the charity angle.
If they have sold as many tickets as they have claimed to, why posters now? Wouldn't you put them up before the tickets went on sale?????

Between the back and forth with their announcements/deadlines, doing things backwards, still after all these months refusing to identify themselves, and the horrible management of their "picture" FB page, is giving a very clear idea of the kind of event these people are putting on. They are using the charity angle for two reasons, one trying to get some acknowledgement or recognition by Jon, and second to sell more tickets, because the fans by the fans alone only would have sold the handful, that seem to represent those actively participating on their contests, questions, etc.. no more than 10/15 people.
About using logos or pictures without permission is just what I expect from the Con.

Things are not getting any better for the Con goers, sorry.
Yesterday the Con asked, which should be the hours for the event, because they think from 9am to 1 am, will be too many hours. Really? Now they think or it's time to pay and they have no money. A shorter time will be less expensive of course.
I hope they give those going the option of cancellation, because when you sell something that includes certain specifics, you can not change it and charge the same for less.

I have to add, comments made on their FB page about pictures of Jon are downright lewd and disrespectful! I am no prude but if you are running an event and collecting money from people, your page and website should have some sophisitcation and decorum. This is simply a porno site and many of their "friends" are juveniles. Disgraceful!

We are missing a lot for not participating on the Con contests. Their newest prize was unveiled last night.
A Matchbox car with the BJ logo painted on the hood! Wow! BTW do they have permission to use copyrighted logos?

Wow! A Matchbox car! You'd think they'd be embarrassed to even post that. Dollar store prizes are a sign of the quality of this event.
