3 1. Music spans all different languages 2. Most countries offer English to their students and many people in foreign countries make the attempt to learn English 3. Think about it: do you really expect the band to know every single language for each country they perform in? 4. Youtube is your friend 5. Get out and learn a little bit about life or a newspaper. The internet is a good source for news too!!!!! |

LOL @ this thread!!
I have (and you all probably have this too) an mp3 of Jon sing Bed of Roses in Spanish (Cama de Rosas). That's the only instant I can think of Jon singing in a foreign language right now.. But, otherwise, I assume that he does what most artists/bands do and learns a few words to say to the crowd, in that countries language, during the concert. All songs would be in English though. I think I'd laugh my ass off hearing Jon sing Bad Medicine in Japanese. |
In Buenos Aires in 1995, Jon sang the chorus of This Ain't a Love Song in Spanish as well. |

1 You know what Monkey, here's your one answer. Like many others have said here, they know a few words from every language because they have been going to some of these countries multiple times over their 25 year career. While they may have sung the chorus of This Ain't a Love Song and Bed of Roses in Spanish, I do know that it took Jon a while to learn how to sing them. He did it because he pleased the masses of Spanish speaking fans that continuously follow them. What you asked was just ridiculous. You thought that when they went to Japan, they sing in Japanese and a month later when they go to Germany, they sing in German. During the 90s, they went to so many different countries and even performed in places like Bombay. They don't have to learn 50 different languages just to go there and sing their songs. There is a saying that music transcends languages and Bon Jovi is just another great example. There are many people who know little English but love listening to Bon Jovi. For instance, it's when Ricky Martin was big years ago, mnay of his hit songs had bits of Spanish and one was even in Spanish but it did well in the United States because music transcends languages. Also, most countries have many citizens who know English just as well as their own language. There you go, I answered your question honestly even though I think it was a stupid question. You know it's questions like these though that make me laugh because they make you seem uneducated and ignorant to the world. |

1 thanks...i will say thia as nicely as i can...you need to really consider picking up a copy of dale carnegies book "how to win friends and influence people"...you may have more knowledge of bonjovi than i do but you are probably one of the rudest people that i have ever come across in my 41 years...there is no such thing as an ignorant or stupid question...this is something that any educated person should know...heck any uneducated person knows this as well...have you ever asked a question in your life? i would bet that you have...do you think the person that answered your question thought you were ignorant...i doubt it...yes you can learn from reading and studying on your own but asking questions is a prety good way to learn too...i have enough sense to admit that there is a lot i dont know but i am not afraid to ask...you come across to me as someone who thinks they know everything...some highly educated, everybody loves me, i am better and smarter than everyone, everyones an idiot i am a genius, everyone values my opinion kind of person when in all actuality everyone inwardly groans when they see you coming and laughs behind your back at what a nuisance you are...LEARN SOME HUMILITY GIRL, YOU AINT ALL YOU THINK YOU ARE |

1 When it comes to you, I take it as a compliment. That means my job here is done. Sure people might answer your question and still think it's a stupid question. Case in point: my response. Some people just choose to tell you that it wasn't a stupid question. Others who responded to you insinuated it was a stupid question that you could have easily found out on your own. No everyone goes "aww shit is she really posting again". Which is why they ignore your posts for the most part. As far as everyone laughing behind my back, guess what? I don't care. That's life. Shit happens. Especially because you made up the "Everyone laughs at you" |
