I heard Richie used to be a decent basketball player but he got kicked off the team for "misbehaving" including mooning the cheerleaders bus. I also remember reading an article in the 80s that when they used to arrive at the arenas, he would shoot some hoops with the net.

That was highschool I bet!!

My husband used to pull those stunts. I have got to tell this story ok.

Now my husband is your typical farmer. A real stickler for appropriate behavior from his children. He hates mailbox bashers-which he used to do in HS. He also was big into mooning people. He even stole a decorated christmas tree from a front yard while the owners were having a party--tree had to be sawed down. They never got caught.

Well here's the story:

He and his buddies were on their way to their 5 yr HS reunion and decided to bring a special guest with them. It was being held at our local Ramada Inn. This is a group of 5 guys who spent more time drinking than studying in school.

They arrive but keep their "guest" hidden until the lights go down low and the dancing starts, then suddenly this smelly roadkill raccoon lands in the middle of the dance floor with it's innards landing everywhere. Girls were screaming like crazy. Needless to say my husband and his cronies were thrown out of the reunion, banned from the ramada inn, and strangely their invitations for the 10th never arrived.

I remember laughing so hard when I heard this. This was all before I met him. He seems to have mellowed.
