Slash to pay tribute to Les Paul
Slash couldn't miss a chance to pay tribute to his own guitar hero, Les Paul. The former Guns N' Roses guitarist signed up to play at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's tribute concert Nov.

i met Slash hanging out at the hotel pool in Vegas this summer. Very cool guy. Very appreciative of his fans.

Cool. And Viva, while you may not appreciate Slash as a musician, he and Les Paul are friends, so yeah, it does make sense for him to be there, along with a host of others. The one person who I don't see on the list of performers who truly epitomized the Gibson Les Paul as a rock and roll guitar is Jimmy Page.
