The Bongiovi Sauce Website

Not to bash this product, but buyers should beware that this won't be the exact same type of sauce made in he JBJ home. It's going to be commercially manufactured with certain preservatives added for shelf life.

If, however John, Sr. was making this from scratch at the Soul kitchen, then of course I would like to try the same kind of sauce that Jon himself used to enjoy.

Just curious as to how many have tried the Bon Jovi wine and their opinion of the flavour.

Yes, but right now the ONLY reason it's selling (and is sold out) is because of the name.

True, the only reason now is because of the name but eventually it will be because of the product. Word of mouth will spread and the more people buy and say that it's great, the more it will sell. If it's bad, it will not sell. Right now it's more of the novalty of buying the sauce that Jon Bon Jovi had when he was growing up. It will wear off.

This has nothing to do with the band Bon Jovi or even Jon. It's Jon's name that will sell it and get the publicity.

It will probably always sell to a certain extent because of the ties to Jon.(as you said, it's a novelty that a few fans will buy) But unless it starts selling in stores for a more reasonable price it will not sell because to 99.9% of consumers out there, no "bottled" sauce that you have to have shipped will be worth 10 times the price of other sauces sold at their local store, no matter how good it tastes.

I think it just depends on how they want to sell this product and how big a success they want for it. It could be just a starting business now for the "fans" of the band and something that Mr Bongiovi wants to do. They might want to see the success of it and take it slowly. They are probably not even thinking long term. Keep in mind, this is all guesses on my part. I'm just thinking out loud.

The sauce is priced as other gourmet sauces are priced.

Their market is not people looking for a bargain sauce on their grocery store shelf with a coupon in hand. There are many people out there who will buy good jar sauce. I wish them the best of luck. A lot of gourmet foods are never sold in food stores but online or in fine Gourmet retail stores.

It seems as if the price weren't that bad or the name Jon Bon Jovi (Bongiovi) really does sell. All items are out of stock already.

$67.00US Shipping to New Zealand? Wow, it would have to have gold in there too for that.

But good on them, or especially Mr B for doing this. Im sure they will make some good proceeds for the Soul Kitchen!

Wow --$67 for a jar of sauce to New Zealand. Oh, there are so many things I could say about Jon and sauces and.... well -- it's a Sunday, so I won't! I'll get some and make you some baked ziti with it next time you come to visit!

Exactly. Right now it's selling because of the name, but if it sucks the initial success won't last. Hopefully it will be yummy...we shall see.

I got an order in last week! I'll let everyone know how it is next week when it arrives...so curious. I don't mind paying more if the sauce is premium.

All three sauces and all out of stock? It's the name that is selling the sauces. Let's see how long it can continue but my money is that it will be a successful venture.

Alright all, I got my Bongiovi sauces (3 flavors) yesterday and prepared it for my family this evening. First, I gotta say, the label & bottle is very nice, high quality.

My son loved the Marinara, I enjoyed the Arrabiata the best - it was just the right amount of spiciness with a whole lot of flavor. My husband liked the Garden Style a lot. I would consider the sauces definitely premium because it tasted very fresh not like the cheaper brands I've used before (Barilla and Prego) which I would have to add my own ingredients to it and dress it up.

I hope it will be in my local grocers soon so I don't have to pay extra for shipping. Great job Mr. B!
