Who's more approachable?

I love jon and hes a doll but from what ive seen im thinking richie is more approachable..he strikes me as the type that if u saw him on the street from behind and u tapped him on the shoulder he would turn around and u can just start a conversation with him (if u can still stand up at that point)... i would hug him..just wrap my arms around his waist and hug him..u wouldnt even ask if u could and he would probably hug u right back..he seems like a teddy bear..
jon, and please someone correct me if im wrong, seems more reserved. Like you may have to ask him if its okay to get an autograph but richie u could just hand him a piece of paper and a pen and he'd sign away... richie seems more like the type that u could ask him if he wants to grab a cup of coffee with you at a diner..jon, i dont know... am i wrong? I'm hoping im way off with jon.. i could be way off base but he seems like he has to be in a good mood somewhat to do certain things otherwise he looks a little bothered...am i wrong?

Yeah Jon seems a bit more reserved. I belive he would be nice and give you an autograph but I dont think he would be quite as forthcoming as Richie....maybe cause Jon gets more attention for papparazi and people?

I completely agree, I think that Richie is just so at ease with everyone immediately when he meets them so he is def. the one that I think is most approachable mostly due to his personality.

I dunno I think it may depend on when where. Like if they were on tour and you saw Jon eating breakfast in the hotel he would probably expect to be found where if he was in the Hampton's or with any of his family, it would be awkward, i dont know if that's the right word, because he's so protective over them. I'm not saying he wouldnt do anything but just a little like "ok i signed it and took a pic am I done". Richie on the other hand just seems like such a "go with the flow" kinda guy so that he could be in a doctor's waiting room hugging people and signing stuff. I can't really picture a situation where he'd be a little weird about fans. What about the other 2 guys? I'm thinking Dave is like Richie (especially after the video from when he was out with Lexi and the fam in LA) and Tico is a little more like Jon just because he strikes me as the quiet, shy-ish type.

It's funny how we have these images of them I wonder if they're even the slightest bit accurate, lol.

I've never met any of them so these are just speculations...I wish I could say I know this as fact :-/

I agree with all of you also. I think Richie would by far be more approachable than Jon. I think all the other band members would be more approachable than Jon, although I would love to find out. LOL

I think these are probably fair assessments. I think Jon is a little more "stalked", if that's the right word for it, so he tends to be a little more stand offish, but I think that even if Richie were the focus of the band, Jon just has a more low key personality. I think Rich (and Dave) have that "I've never met a stranger" kind of personality and Jon just isn't that kind of person.

Now, I have met Jon and I can honestly say that they don't come any nicer, but it was a professional kind of nice and not a "Can I buy you a drink at the bar and be your pal" kind of nice that Richie and Dave tend to project.(Does that make nay sense at all?) However, I have never met any of the other band members so, I have nothing to compare my encounter to.

So, there you have it, my two cents worth! LOL!

I agree with the majority. I'm a Jon chick but I think I would have to seriously think about if I wanted to "bother" him or not. Where with Richie he seems like you could offer to buy him a beer and he'd take you up on it! LOL Love Jon but think Richie gives off more approachable vibes. But then it's all a matter of their mood at the moment.

I concurr with you all - Richie vids have been on utube of him being approached by strangers in the street and hes great with them...yet some of the ones of Jon he is quite standoffish, even if he isnt with his family. The poor guy tho, as someone said being the "face" of the band, must have a hard life not even being able to walk to the shops without being hounded by photographers and Mums wanting to hug him!!!!!
Damn what I would give to sit down and have dinner with all 4 of them...

The other thing is too..i have seen several pics and videos where jon has signed stuff for fans..he was polite and nice enough but he looked bothered.. im sorry but that bothers me :( there is a video of Richie going through LAX airport i believe TMZ took the video and u see him walking through the airport and he signed something for a guy as he was walking heading to the escalator to go upstairs.. i dont know theres just a difference.. also jon cant stand talking to the paparazzi and ive seen richie several times stop and acknowledge them.. maybe jon's just overwhelmed.. thats what i hope at least...

I don't know what Jon would be like. I'm on the West Coast and I've seen Richie once cruising around Malibu Country Mart area and he seems really mellow and very approachable. Nobody bothered him though, he walked around like an every day Joe.

Richie for sure, although I think Hugh would be even more approachable since no one usually pays him much attention...lol

A few years ago twhen they were on tour in the UK I was waiting outside their hotel in London. Hugh came out the front door and was enjoying every minute of the attention, there was only a hand full of us. Then we heard Jon had left via the back door, to avoid us. Would it really have hurt if Jon had gave two minutes of his time and signed five autographs? To be honest, I thought it was plain ignorant of him to avoid five fans at the front of the hotel. Sometimes he should sit down and think it was the fans who put him where he is and is the reason he is a millionaire. I'm not calling him guys, but this is a true example of how unfriendly he can be, even when he is on tour without his family.

see thats what i was afraid of.. him being a little snobbish and arrogant..im sorry i love jon but richie is definitely warmer in that regard..id be nervous/timid going up to jon richie i would go right up to him in a heartbeat..its funny how everyone on this forum is saying the exact same thing...
