Hi all,I`m a new poster but I`ve been lurking here for months.I`d like to say how much I`ve enjoyed each and every fanfic I`ve read. The first one was "The Layover"which blew me away and since then I`ve lost track of the number I`ve devoured, there are some seriously talented authors out there, and no day is complete without a session with Jonny and the boys So ladies I`d like to thank you and may your creative juices never dry up!

Lilith - If you find that link or it gets here on this topic, make it BIG AND BOLD so we can ALL go there! I copy every link I can find into Word so I can go visit and keep up with some of the great stories out there! I always make sure to leave some sort of comment too as I know the writers have worked hard on their story. Feedback helps, it really does. ( Holding breath, waiting for MORE great stories!)

This one is a new story-it isn't completed yet, but rather just beginning-but the author asked me to post it on my Blog so I figured I'd mention it here too. I've only read the first chapter so far, but it looks rather interesting, so you may wanna give it a go (from the title I am hoping for a lot of cat scenes, LOL, as my story is the only one I know of where they have such major roles-so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more kitties in this one): http://catsmeow-cath.blogspot.com/2008/05/cal...

I just finished the Layover and LOVED it! Then I read This Left Feels Right, again, great story. Is there a place that has lots of fan fiction links listed? I can see bits and pieces on certain blogs, but it is hard to keep track of them all.
Since this post asked what we like in our stories, I am finding I like romance with a few sex scenes. I am not crazy about the ones that have the girl and Jon in bed right away. But that is just my personal preference. I am the same with romance novels. The ones that focus on sex don't do much for me. THe ones that focus on a storyline, character development and a romance that seems realistic really do hold my interest. Yes, this is fantasy and fiction. But I like a story that makes it kind of easy to place myself into the story. It is an escape, but I like stories that have an air of this could possibly really happen, you know? Just my input...now I need some more links because for great stories!! LOL

LOL Have you read all the ones that were osted in the beginning of this thread? It sounds like you would like mine (Sauna) altho they do end up in bed fairly quickly, but it's more about the characters and the relationship and definitely a romance with a few twists. You'd probably also like Sunstreaked's John Francis and also Steph's Twist of Fate. You would probably like hathor's The Beach too, but it is a shorty compared to the others. All of those, including mine, tend to emphasize realism and believability and focus on the building relationship from different perspectives with less emphasis on constant adventure. There are a lot of links posted near the beginning of this thread and also on my Blog and the other Blogs. I just keep save them in favorites with each new chapter I read and then delete the old links and that way I can pick up where I left off last. I hope you'll find some you like.

I am so glad to see this topic is still going strong. There are so many stories I'm learning are out there and as a reader and a writer I'm thrilled to get the story links and some ideas of what people like in the stories!
So, everybody keep this going, pretty please!

Completed ones are great, as I have four different ones going at the moment and have to remember which one I am reading but hey, doesn;t take me long to fall back into the story! Ummm and yeah, at least here we can admit we are totally obsessed! But a very very good obsession tho huh??

LOL I totally agree with your paragraph above. I think most woman like the lead up to it all with romance. Don;t they say that a woman needs a week or foreplay, not just a cup of tea in bed or a sweet smile, well, hmmmm, maybe in Jons case, the smile might work for a few of us!!!:-)

Hey kiwigirljbj
You know Im equally as obsessed as you...just dont have quite as much time to finish them all as you do!!! But thanks os much everyone for the links - have them in a little file for when I DO get time! And by the sounds of things I need to MAKE time!
I also concurr with the above comment - bring on the romance and not just the sex...and let us believe, even for a fleeting moment...that it could happen...and to us!!!!

I'm just putting the idea out there to all of us who like fan fic that maybe a thread should be started to list sites and only sites instead of sifting through large threads like this one? Just wonder what you other readers and writers out there feel about this? I saw that a "Jovi Dictionary" (love that!) is being compiled, so how about a Fan fic site directory that we can add to as we find sites. They can always be copied onto your computer from here via cut and paste and then we would have access to some great stories and authors. Ok, so that's my semi-bright idea for the day. Anybody else want to chime in on this?
