In the past I've tried to keep my Jovi obsession my "dirty little secret" but this whole tour has got me so excited that I've let it out of the bag to some friends and co-workers. They now know about my trip to NYC AND my fight to get the best seats possible at a decent price for our local venue show. Lately, I live and breathe Jovi. They ALL think I'm crazy and need an intervention - especially the part about flying to NYC and meeting up with gals I've never met. Now, I think it's pretty damn cool and they're just jealous because they don't have the balls to do something like that on their own. LOL!
Anyway, are the rest of you just as obsessed as I am? How do friends and family feel about your craziness? Am I the only one who feels like sometimes maybe I am a bit over the top? |

I feel the same way, I my mom and sisters knew that I have been of Bon jovi for sometime. I even went to a Bon Jovi concert by myself back in 2003, I was on 16 then(i'm now 22)Now that they are going on tour, I really want to go. I don't know if they will come to Ohio or not. The next show I can go to is philly or D.C. I told my mom I don't care how I get there I going to see Bon Jovi. I know my mom will let me go this time! |

Yep, in the same boat GF. People think I'm CRAZY!!!! My hubby and kids joke about my OBSESSION all the time, but I know they do it in a loving way. My husband offered to buy the CD for me on Tuesday, but I told him I pre-ordered it on Amazon. He said he'd pick me up one anyway because I'll listen to it so much that I'll go thorugh 5 copies !!!:)
My kids will yell when they hear BJ on a commercial or on TV or during a hockey game. The other night HMV had The Circle as an advertisement and my son was yelling "Mom hurry come here"... I went running over thinking something was wrong and stubbed my toe into the coffee table OUCH!!! Then realized it was the commercial. He wasn't allowed to change the channel for the next hour because I wanted to see the ad again (What did I tell you- CRAZY) Jonandme - I think it's great that your flying to NYC to meet girls that you have never met and to make some lasting friends. That is priceless!!! Some of my friends have no idea what type of "high" you are on after the concert. After the LH concert in 2007 I was on cloud 9 for weeks. My hubby said I should go to more concerts since I was in a great mood. He's so great about. His passion is the NFL and NHL and mine is BJ !! Love to hear more stories ! |

Hi :))) same here. I think I feel the same way as you. I spend a long time to stick to my PC for getting tickets. My mother has been moaning about this for almost 25 years, So then I don't care anymore. I hate to be tease about my JOVI loyal sentiment. My all family know that how I obsessed so far. They sometime say " You crazy nut " or called me " Bonzomi " @Cuz my real First name is Nozomi. Ha, My father got a good sense of humor ; ) Back in 80's, My father always helped me and my jovi buddy for getting Tix. We had to campout for pre-sale but we're a teenager. So, He offered a car and give us a ride like a taxi when we needed. He's still teasing me about BON JOVI though, I always got some JOVI stuff when I got back to mother's house. I thank them indeed.( Even If those stuff were videos which I had already got ) Last Lost Highway tour, First I went to NJ/Pru in '07. Then I went to Europe for JOVI concerts. I did tour-leg and had a great experience. I'd never been to JOVI concert outside Japan. That was AMAZING. After the concerts in London, I met up my mother in London. She drove car to North. It was a good trip. I ended up my tour so on. Well, I normally don't talk about my JOVI obsession. But, all my mother's friends knew about my jovi tour... Every time I met her friends, I got little nervousness. Not comfortable for me. One thing I can't stand is people who doesn't know about my JOVI career ( including myself ) tells me something about BON JOVI. I still don't talk about my craziness to my co-worker. To tease me about JOVI makes me do " stink eye " and I really know about myself. I would have a trouble with them someday. The Circle tour, I got tickets for The New meadowlands Stadium in May. I wondered how I could have lived without going to NY/GS for 24 years? Exciting! Oh, My friends enjoy teasing me these days. Because, I said that I should go to the concert in Vegas or should not... for the concert of course, and another reason. I maybe good at roulette! I will win some money to compensate my savings. My friend said " ...COOL. You are crazy things, But I like you " :))))) |

I have been called all sorts of things throughout the years by family, husband, kids, bosses, co workers & friends about Bon Jovi. I have also had people through the years tell me that the bands music sucks & the guys are ugly.
So here are my answers to them: my craziness: I tell them I've been a fan since the beginning & that is what you call LOVE & LOYALTY. the guys looks: everybody is entitled to their opinion & mine is the only one I care about. the music sucks: it's not my fault you don't have any taste! |

Nice to know we are not alone... my family has been teasing me unmercifully over the last couple of weeks -- especially since I've been trying to get tickets to the Philly show and I'm having so much trouble... But, I am soooo lucky to be going on the NY Travel trip and meeting Jonandme... and the girls from down under! Sure, it's crazy... but Jovi fans are the best... I feel like I know these girls better than my own sister sometimes! I say it is a "healty" obsession -- love for the music, the men, and meeting wonderful friends is the icing on the cake!

Because of my personal situation back in the 80's, I kept my Jovi interest my own little secret for lots of years. Then things changed and I was able to come out of the closet. After that there was no stopping me and no looking back.
I don't really care what people think or don't think. I don't really care whether people like it or understand it. My family knows that being a fan of this band is just one of my hobbies...a hobby that has given me many special moments and lots of memories throughout the years...a hobby that has enabled me to meet many new friends around the world. I'll continue enjoying this hobby until following this band no longer is something I chose to do. |

Yup. And quite truthfully, I'm not as Jovi obsessed as many I know. A friend of a friend saw over 25 shows on the LH tour alone! I manage to see them every time they hit Chicago, which truthfully isn't that bad. but would also love to see them at Giants, MSG, or Vegas. Hubby thinks I'm nutty like a teenager and even gets mad about it sometimes. I have been telling him for years to stop trying to understand it cause he never will. He doesn't know yet that I have my tickets already for Soldier Field next July. Geez, it's not like I'm lusting after a neighbor or something! LOL

I am def a looney! At work I have the cover of Circle as my desktop wallpaper now and my ring tone is Bad Name and I have been driving everyone crazy over there with the new songs. Thank God they like it too. lmao And a while back we had a reunion with classmates from grade school and they were all like "remember you were crazy with BJ back then?". And I was like "Still am dudes. 21years later" They couldn't believe it lmao |

yes, they do think that- especially my OH but since i first saw them - 1995- 15 years ago!!- i have been rather obsessive.
however my OH is lovely, and buys my tickets etc... but he does get fed up with me talking about jovi related things!! i was 15 when i first saw them live - this tour i'll be 30....so half my life has been full of joviness - its just part of who i am now...:-) |

I often go on my own to concerts! It doesn't matter as you're surrounded by like minded people anyway! |

My hubby definitely thinks I'm a nutcase and my parents think it's just a hobby! Some of my co-workers know I like Bon Jovi but don't know the extent of it.
I've been a fan since SWW, had a secret stash (magazines, pictures) in the late eighties and early ninetys. I kept a small picture of Jon in my closest for several years before hubby found it. Now I have 2 big pictures!:) My mom wants to know who is that man on my closet door, and comments he has a lot of hair! LOL The obsession has gotten worse since the invention of computers and internet. I love pictures, I love youtube and I love collecting. I don't go to mult-show, just 1 but this tour I will miss. It's so hard looking at tickets and not buying! I want to go so bad. |

Examples of my 'nutcasesness'-
1. When asked (by anyone) whether the ex husband had any good points the reply is always "yes he took me to see Bon Jovi for my 30th" 2. My mother rang me a few days ago to say "I know Im too late with this but those men you like are playing in London next year - you know the ones you used to have on your bedroom wall!!!!!!" Believe me for my mother to realise and take note (after 39 years of coping with this music mad daughter) means something! 3. Got a text from my friend today saying that she had saved the Telegraph article for me as she knew I was on nights and would be gutted I didnt buy it! 4. Going to Vegas next year - the 1st question most people asked when I said about it was "are Jovi playing when you're there?" Ah well its not like its that obvious.......is it?!? haha |

Okay ... this is totally stupid... went to the mall yesterday and walked by HMV and what is hanging in the window - a freaking 6ft x 3 ft poster of the boys. I stood for a while and admired. Was gonna pull out my phone and take a pic- but decided against it. Looked at it a bit longer and thought about the upcoming tour. Then I was about to go inside and ask for the poster once the promotion was over!!!! OMG... thank god I came to my senses - the employees would have thought I was CRAZY! Came home and told my hubby - he said 'yah you should of asked them for it and then you could of hung in the garage and kissed them goodbye every morning before work and then kissed it every evening when I got home from work" LOL!!

Have you ever gone to a dental appointment, sat in the dental chair and admired pics of Jon Bon Jovi on the wall? To the front of you, to the left of you, and behind you. The view in my operatory is gorgeous. Does anyone care to make an appointment? Oh, and by the way, the answer to the question asked is yes ;-)
