I Guess This Time Your'e Really Leavin....

OK, i know somebody knows the answer to this question... Did Jon write this about Dorothea, and did she contemplate leaving him? Anybody know?

Oh my goodness ~ I hope not!!! Lets hope it has to do with Richie & Denise!

Was looking for the article, but can't find right now, will keep looking. But there's this rocker that said BJovi stole this song from him, he was a rocker that was dating Lehua Reid (who use to date Richie). Don't think the lyrics were belonging to this rocker, but rather the music was allegedly taken from him. That songs from both parties were similar.

I know it's not easy being involved with a musician. Jon has even said, you're hardly home and miss all the special occasions. At the time the single was released, there was nothing reported that Dot was threatening to leave him (but you never know what comes up in an argument); Richie was dating Ally Sheedy at that time.

Thank you viva... it just seemed to me that the words really did make sense because Jon did miss birthdays, etc. so i thought Jon may have put the words into a song...Dorothea was also the one to break up with jon when he first started traveling too..

I thought that when I first heard that song. Now I need to go listen again. Wonder if there is a youtube? Seems to be one for everything else.

I LOVE you tube! I "Bon Jovi" you tube ALL the time... i'd be curious to see what you think. If i were bettng on it, i would say that Jon and Dot had their arguements, like all of us do, and after one of the "worst" ones, she pulled that suitcase out. They had their arguement, but after that was "said and done", Jon wrote a song about it. JMO :-)

I think many of his songs are about Dot. Probably this one too, but perhaps just his fear of her ever leaving, is what comes from his writing this one. I don't think he has ever admitted anywhere that his songs are directly about her, only that she is his muse. What 'cha think?

She did leave him at one time..before they were married...He had his fun..but was never his whole without her..He came back to win her heart..been going strong 18 or 19 years since...The End =)

Every time I hear it..I think it is a Love Letter to Dot.....but at one time or another we all can apply it to our lives too as somthing we would have said in one situation or another = ) JMO

I guess we will never know unless he tells more in the new book that is to come out.... can't wait!

We may not know for quite awhile about the book cos I read recently that it's been pushed back again... If you go to amazon.com and search for "Believe" under Books, you'll see the release date is now Oct. 2008 -- also a brief synopsis of what the book is to be about..

Do you think this was written during the time when Don and Jon did split before they got married? The did live together before they where married and while Jon was pursuing his music career.

I know I'll prolly get a few things thrown at me for this, but are you guys forgetting Richie co-wrote this? It's obviously more his song than it is Jon's...

Ohhh Yeah Richie. I almost forgot about him. Actually for whatever reason I always thought that most of the lyriks come from Jon.
