Denise Richards says Richie Sambora was no affair

On People.com Denise Richards tells Ryan Seacrest that her relationship with Richie was not an affair and that they remain friends! Is she still promoting herself by talking about Richie? Doesn't she have anything else in her life?

I just saw a commercial about her reality show & she said something like "stole her best friend's husband? Find out!" Or very similar to that so the only thing she has to offer this reality show is Richie's name. I have to wonder how much he must regret this AFFAIR.

After reading your post Sterling, it sounds like Denise is using her "affair" with Richie so she can get her career back on track. I mean I think she should just let it go and move on. its 2008 now, 2 years after the that story was in the papers. I feel like I'm hearing about a 16 year old girl who just broke up with her boy friend. How old is she?

I was thinking of seeing a least one episode of Denise's show. To see what it's like. But if she's using the old line that has something to do with possibly stealing her best friends husband I not going to even give it a chance.

A career? Still friends? Hardly.

I posted on another thread about Denise..she has said both in print and tv interviews that her desire was to be out of the spotlight; that she didn't like the publicity.

Those are empty words because her actions speak volumes. She must LOVE being in the tabloids because she has continued to speak about Richie more than a year after they are no longer. In the meantime Richie has not said a word.

She has no class and is not even a good enough actress to make a statement in print that is believable. She actually comes off as quite desperate to me and that's unforunate. She's attractive and has money. She should be able to have a very active dating life rather than discussing the last boyfriend she had a year ago.

I think Richie should hit his knees and thank God that he did not end up marrying this woman. She's a joke!

She obviously desperately wants the attention. Nobody who does want attention would turn around and do a reality show.

I agree with what everyone says about not only using Richie's name for publicity but also Heather and Charlie's. I think what bothers her the most is the three of them have careers, have moved on and have siginificant others ie. Heather and Jack Wagner, Richie and Jen Mallini, and Chalie and Brooke Mueller. In terms of careers, Heather is out shooting all these lifetime movies, Richie is still in a big rock band and Charlie's series is still doing well on TV. Not many people want to offer her roles and she probably depends somewhat on Charlie giving her child support.

Also, Richie, despite all the media attention he has received, is still quite a private person. He tries to keep as much of his private life private as he can. If Denise is truly still good friends with Richie she should know that he probably would not appreciate her still running her mouth off about this repeatedly because each time, it brings him back into the spotlight.

In terms of all the "thank god he never married her comments", I don't think he would have ever married her. From what she has said, it seemed more of a friends with benefits type thing that may have some point developed into some sort of relationship but I think Richie was just in it for the support with his ill father, divorce and for the "benefits".

I heard on the radio this morning (WDVD 96.3 Detroit) that Charlie has ceased sending support payments. I was busy getting kiddies ready for school so don't know if that meant that Denise was getting spousal support & that ended or if he stopped sending child support (which I wouldn't understand that.) Has anyone heard this?

I agree with you up to a point. I believe Richie was actually very serious about Denise and probably would have married her. Thank God he didn't but you know you just look at them during the time they were dating. They started dating almost immediately after Heather filed (depending on whose story you want to believe) and it was story after story about Richie saying he wanted more kids, Denise saying she just had to have him, etc.

I don't know what happened to break them up but I definitely believe had they gone on they would have married. I'm hoping he saw thru her act and dumped her but I don't know that to be the case. Richie would be the only one that would tell the true story; Denise won't.

I'm just glad it's over. I cringed when I saw pics of them together!

I have it on good authority that you should not believe most things that are written about the Richards-Sambora relationship, especially things that are given from her side.

i wish denise would stop talking about her relationship with richie for ava's sake.

Seeing the pictures, I really thought that the two loved! And in fact, I can not identify Denise! It seems nice but at the same time I do not know if it plays a game or not! It did not say she was doing a television show to show people that it really was? Is it so hated?

Denise is doing a Reality Show where it's like camera people are invited in her home & just film her day to day activities (as if anyone cares). To lure people into watching it, she has made commercials where she says something about 'stealing her best friend's husband' statement just so people will have interest to watch her trashy show. I hope we won't be hearing about Richie on her TV show but maybe that is the only way she will keep interested viewers ~ you know, if she brings up Richie's name. Did that help? There are people who are nothing, but want other consider them as everything. Unfortunately these people like to ruin other peoples' lives :(

No, I do not think Denise has ever been a humble person, but that is just my opinion. I agree, Richie did well to dump her.

As you have seen one of his TV show? I think I had seen on youtube or I do not know very well where, when she was shopping with his father! But I have not yet seen with his daughters! And I come to it, exposing his daughters to the television as it does is perhaps not a good idea! They have nothing to prove it! She wanted to make this issue to attract the sympathy of people, I do not know if it will succeed!

I have to admit that I won't watch...I have seen clips of her whining and crying about her life and misfortune on the entertainment shows here in the last few days and I am about tired of it...who cares? She acts as if she is the only person who has been wronged in the world and despite the fact that she says that she would say nothing wrong about Charlie in front of her children, she says it on tv and when they get older all they have to do is look it up. It's not right on any account, I don't care who you are...I don't think anyone should make a career of whining about how terrible their life is...she doesn't have it that bad. We should all be so unfortunate! JMO
