What is your opinion of Bob Marley's influence on youth culture today? and from Marley's life and example do you think that youth today receive a positive or negative spiritual and moral messages?

The only reason marley smoked canabis and sang songs defending canabis, is because he as long as the rastafarians beleived that it connected him closer to the rastafarian god.

For people saying that Bob Marley only smoked pot and stuff, that is true, but it was in the 70s and everyone was smoking up anyways! it was just as normal as listening to music off an iPod or other form of mp3 in this day and age.

Marley has influenced the whole world. He was a freedom fighter and all some of you can say is he made pot industry go up. It is his religion. Do you think the pope made bread and wine industries what they are today.

What has Bob marley Acheived???

Bob Marley has acheived a lot. He overcame racism as a child and went on to denounce it to others all over the world, thru his music and thru his actions. He was a pacifist, and spread the message of making love, not war. He also brought Jamaican culture and reggae music to the rest of the world. He changed a lot of peoples thoughts about war and how people should be treated, and those new beliefs live on and grow stronger in the youth today.

To those who think Marley is only about smoking pot: the reason he pushed smoking weed was because heroin and crack was very bad in Kingston and he wanted people to kick the hard shit and chill with something lighter.

for rastafarianism.. it's their worship to Jah.. it reveals you to yourself and because it's one god given object.. because it ain't do much harm.. cigarettes are worse than joints don't panic, it's organic and it feels great! |
