I have been researching the song "to Ramona" The melody of "to Ramona is remarkably similar to a 1936 song written by Rex Griffin. The song is called "the last letter" and is about a suicide note. If you scrutinize the lyrics of "to Ramona" you will find that it also has a suicide theme. Dylan tries to talk a girl out of committing suicide. here is a link to the version of "the last letter" which has the basic melody and beat. http://www.youtube.com/watch...
