Tired of Stupids wrote: <quoted text>That is still unacceptable. Teachers are there to educate, not exacerbate idiocy and ignorance. That is not enough mercury to do anything. Hell, I probably lose that much just synchronizing the carbs on my bike, since every once in a while a tiny bit gets sucked into the engine form the gauge. And if it was a compact flo bulb, there is almost no mercury in it. Has anyone called Zia and talked to someone in charge there?

Radical Teacher wrote: In response to the caller complaining about our government not warning U.S. citizens to stay out of Juarez...why do you need anyone to warn you to stay away from a blood bath??? Seriously, since when do we need to be told the obvious? Do you want someone else to do everything for you? Get a brain! I agree. Plus, there have been warnings to stay out. Active duty military have been told not to go. That, and the daily news on the violence, should be warning enough, I think.

I've got three Fords....a '41 9N flathead-4 tractor that still runs pretty well (no doubt pre-union!), a a '94 F-350 (running great at <100k), and '90 F-150 that's recently broken down (transmission problem). I drive a Mitsubishi Mighty Max back & forth to work every day. I bought it new in '91 for somewhere around $10k. I would have preferred a Chevy, but couldn't afford it. Been driving that that truck ever since, and I just passed 330,000 miles. I've replaced one clutch, some brake pads & shoes, a fuel pump, a few batteries and a whole lotta tires. I'm just sayin'......

No need for people to go to mexico. Mexico is moving here just go to Anthony, NM or Canutillo, Tx. Most of the business signs are in spanish and english is a no-no. People do have to be told not to do things. Because we have become a society of complete irresponsible idiots. Remember, McDonalds coffee and the old lady that sued them.

Don't tell me that just because they are made in the U.S. are okay. That bologna! The profit from the car goes back to Tokyo or South Korea. Your fooling yourselves people. Start buying American made vehicles." Another stupid comment. When will you people crawl back under your rocks and stay there!!! Soon, I hope! Ho-ho-ho... does this sound like Father Xmas? The time of the proteccionism is over. Frontiers are broken and good products must be delivered to the people. You do have the option to buy what you want. If you go with ideas like that think about the way back. American products being rejected or neglected in other countries. BTW, it's time for a good propaganda... how about buying free-slave and responsible products instead of buying anything? That would make more sense AND it would help to make this world a better place to live. Hey, BS, here I am!!! BTW 2, I'm missing Michael !!!

Any place in the world is not safe, for God's sake. As I'm reading all the news here, I can see it's not safe being in New Mexico (can imagina the Old one ;-)). If you consider extreme situations, it's not safe for North Americans go almost anywhere (and that works good for English people as well).

About testing scores at DACC nursing program: The lowest score that DACC nursing students can get on any test to pass it is 79% which is the highest minimum score within the entire NMSU university and branch college system. In calculating grades for the entire course, test scores count for 80% of the grade. No other work is counted until test scores average a minimum of 79%.

Two geniuses you be. ;-) Ok I'll quit with Yoda. Half-day, nice! So what are you going to do with the rest? Or do I even have to guess much? Well if I hear back from NJ soon, we might go do lunch up at Brigid's. I love the bar area, it's cozy & quaint. They make a great Bloody Mary...hmmmm. I know they have some good brewskies too, as per my two sidekicks. ;-) Let me know what's up...~SB

If you consider extreme situations, it's not safe for North Americans go almost anywhere (and that works good for English people as well). With all due respect G1, what you say is not entirely correct. Yes, the world is full of dangerious places and juarex, is certainly one of the most dangerious ones, but I have travled to both France and Italy in the past year and found the folks warm and friendly, as usual. I have visited several western and eastern European countries over the past 5-6 years and found the same to be true. My motto, is "if you treat people with respect and courtesy, you will get that back in turn. On the other hand, what is happening in juarez, is simply rival gangs killing each other for control of a multi-billion dollar business in drugs and prostitution. The propensity for beng in the wrong place at the wronf time in jusrez, is simly much great, as it would be in say Iraq, or Iran, where rival factions too, are competing for control of the countries and are perfectly willing to kill t get it! Hope tat explains my POV. Have a terriffic weekend and stay away from "hot spots", like these!!

While I am certainly not a fan of rap, it is indeed a form of music, in my opinion. Actually, I have heard a few rap songs that are actually pleasant to my ear, so again, it is indeed music, just different strokes my friend!

We used to make quarterly visits to Juarez to pick up medication for the in-laws.
Things got rough and we started going to Palomas every 6 months.
Things started getting rough and we started going to Sam's Club for 3 months of medication for $10. We have to cough up the difference in costs.
Must better than a HIGH SPEED LEAD INJECTION that so many have suffered lately in Mexico.
