Blues Fest is moved to raise profile
The producers of the 29th Annual Long Beach Blues Festival moved the event to Rainbow Lagoon Park because Cal State Long Beach officials wanted a stronger presence in downtown, producers said.

Well, so much for a casual and enjoyable Blues Festival. It's over! It will prove to be a nightmare at the new site. What's wrong with keeping it at CSULB? I don't get this town?

Despite Mr. Grobaty's objections, this is a very good idea. What a beautiful place to sit and listen to great music. The real question is where to move it once it becomes too large for the lagoon? Perhaps while officials are deciding what to do with the property around the Queen Mary, they could keep in mind that some kind of larger venue will be needed for larger events.

I like that its going to be at rainbow lagoon. I see the park from my balcony, and can't wait to see chuck berry. yay!

No beverages !!!! huh ...and with possibly 7,500 in attendance and a capacity of 8,000 we are gonna be packed like sardines
