They make these Id's on their computers, It's extremely hard to distiguish which is real and fake. They've even gotten as clever as to making the fake id's with corresponding holograms. It's a futile battle. In which case one of the ICON bars of CT was forced to take a pinch for. I think the bar was given too harsh of a penalty.

I'm in my 40's and always get carded there and my license is put through a machine for verification. Toad's should not be penalized for violations due to fake ID's.

The best-kept secret in New Haven is Cafe 9, where I spent some of the best days (nights) of my life. Corner of State and Crown streets, near the old Coliseum. The Coliseum is gone (a big landmark mistake), Toad's is on the ropes, but Cafe lives,... and rocks. You can take that to the bank.("Musician's Livingroom.")

Only been to toads a couple of times, but they bring in a lot of big names to CT. Which is pretty amazing, because most people just consider Connecticut a pee stop between New York and Boston.

Of course, if I decided to extort somebody, the state would just try to arrest me, drag me thru court for 4 years and eventually extort me.
