As an anthropologist long interested in stagecraft, I was mesemorized by the ZR design for the Bizet opera. I hasten now to send the blog to my sister anthropologist, Dr. Sarah Fee, newly appointed curator of textiles and costumes at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto. Sarah's textile studies started in Madagascar, not too far away from the eclectic fantasy Zandra has created for ancient Ceylon. Not all anthropologists require literal authenticity, happily.
