I read up on this comic after seeing the trailer. Very strange stuff. The "Nite Owl"? what a dork that guy looks like.

I think i'll wait for the rental.

Or you could do yourself a favor and actually try reading the book. Your library is sure to have it or be able to order it via interlibrary loan.

what you actually need to know is this: Buy the book and read it...and skip the movie. The end.

But, ultimately, it moved comic books away from the kitschy, kids-only image of the '60s and '70s and proved the genre could handle more complex, adult drama.
Maybe I'm being picky, but comic books aren't a "genre." Comic books are a medium, like movies, television, theatre, or novels. The word "genre" refers to subject matter: superheroes, Western, horror, science fiction, romantic comedy, etc.

Any medium can handle "complex, adult drama." But Watchmen proved that it could be done within the superhero genre.

Like I said, picky; but I think it's an important distinction.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Virgo

Someone is being headstrong and wilful, and absolutely determined to do what they want. Mercury is retrograde and it's a Full Moon in Cancer with a lunar eclipse all happening tonight! This could lead to some heated discussions and possibly even rows, as you argue the toss back and forth. It might be best to accept that there's very little possibility of reaching an agreement rather than to get locked in a stubborn battle of wills. Besides, you don't want anything to spoil what promises to be a very enjoyable New Year's Eve. Have fun!
