Be careful what you ask for.

I hope this works out and the civilian gov is able to take charge but this could be more trouble than having a military leader. Military may overthrow if they don't like something.

I had watched Musharraf speech and for the most part while lisening I thought he would not resign Musharraf went on with his accomplishnents and did not touch on the major issues. It was after an hour he suddenly said he would resign. I reacted with suprise the TV station showed the reaction of the people all over Pakistan, and it seemed that the reaction was of great happeyness and relieve that he was leaving.

I trully believe that the only reason that Musharraf was resigning was not that he was not popular, but the big factor was that the army was not supporting him!!!!http://www.karachinews. net/story/396198

No indemnity should be given to Musharraf.

After being on this forum for over 4 years, and concentrating, and trying to inform the public on the dictator, in a sence I have completeed my objective.

Pakistan has a long road ahead of it.

I will take a short break from the forum.

Long Live Pakistan.

Yeah, and you can bet in a few months time that all those people which clamoured for Musharraf to resign, and after he did, exchange sweets and idiotically jump for joy, do an about turn and plead for the military to step in to clear up the horrendous mess being made by that joker of the century, Zardari, and the newly hair-weaved Nawaz Sharif !!

Well, let's see.
Why against right from the beginning?
Atiya! you were never so pessimistic.
Have you gone through complete transformation?
You don't have anything positive now in your views?
I request you to control yourself.

This coalition has had a fair amount of time now to show their mettle; at least, on the economic front ! And upto now, their entire focus has been on their common enemy: Musharraf
With him out of the way, I have grave doubts if anything worthwhile, that will substantively benefit the common man, will emerge from this marriage of convenience. As I have always said, and which you yourself even agreed with me earlier on, Musharraf was the lesser of the evils out there...Even there is talk that Zardari is proposing his sister for a key senior post in the govt !!! I think you know all these things but are just opting to play the devil's advocate now... So, don't tell me to control myself !

My question to you all is that will the resignation of Musharaf bring an end to the infighting in Pakistan among the Muslims? because this the wish and dua of every Muslim.

No, I don't think there will be ever an end to
political "infighting" in Pakistan. The issue of
"Muslim" is moot since the vast majority of people
in Pakistan are Muslim anyway. By the way, is there is a city in Jordan called "Burma" ?

800 million Hindus are the biggest state sponsored terrorists on the planet.

These B.A.S.T.A.R.D.S belong to B.J.P. and R.S.S. political parties of India.

They use India's Intelligence agency, RAW, to fake Muslim names & their passports, and carry out terrorism world over to bring bad name to Muslims.

Their main objective is to defame Islam and disenfranchise 400 million Muslims of India, occupy their lands and reconvert them to Hinduism.

These Hindu terrorists are also killing Christians,
Sikhs and untouchable Hindus

Bloodshed of Innocent Muslims in Kashmir by India Terrorist Policies

The whole world needs to focus on 800 million Hindus of India who are the biggest state sponsored terrorists on the planet.

Millions in Kashmir is protesting against Hindu state terrorism and struggling for freedom from perpetual genocide of Muslims by Hindu terrorists of Indian BJP and RSS fanatic Hindu political parties.

ISLAMABAD: The Gallup Survey revealed that 63 percent people rejoice over former president Musharraf's resignation, while only 15 percent regret it. "Twenty percent were ambivalent about saying they were neither happy nor unhappy."

Seventy percent dispute Musharraf's claim to have resigned with the motive of Pakistan first. Instead, they said he resigned in personal interest-'Musharraf first' approach. The majority of Pakistanis, 64 percent, also reject his claims of economic accomplishments and good government during his last nine-year tenure.

Surveys have shown that, rightly or wrongly, majority of Pakistanis attribute current economic crisis and inflation to bad policies of Musharraf regime.

The majority of Pakistanis take a pessimistic view of the past nine years, 70 percent said it was bad or vary bad and only 18 percent said it was good or very good. The remaining did not give a view.

As his tenure comes to an end, 55 percent Pakistanis expect that conditions in the country would improve with Musharraf's resignation, 19 percent take a pessimistic view said conditions will worsen; 19 percent expect no change.
