Ben Bernanke

The slow-motion meltdown

A year ago, as the outlines of the current financial crisis were just becoming clear, I suggested that this crisis, unlike a superficially similar crisis in 1998, wouldn't end quickly.

for publishing Paul Krugman. Over the past twenty years he has been our most accurate economic columnist, and it's about time a local newspaper picked him up.

Krugman, a devout lefty, has only one thing in mind and seems to be socialism and Obama. Personally our economic situation, although somewhat dismal if you listen to the dinosaur media types, is actually NOT in a recession. However, if Obama gets in and raises taxes you will see the big recession and then some. Raising taxes does NOT build business and does not move the economy forward. History tells us that cutting taxes puts more money into the hands of those that make jobs. And that ain't the poor people they just take and spend the money and nothing happens. People that can make jobs and supply the necessary capital to invest in our economy should get the tax breaks, it benefits all of us. However Obama would increase the taxes and like Jimmy the Peanut Carter, kill the economy and interest rates go up, kids in college get killed businesses would not start new businesses etc. Get it? I hope so, Obama and his Mama want change???? Well you surely would get that, enjoy the moment for the day of reckoning would not be far off.

This is one of the funniest column's I've ever read. Someone from the New Times preaching to us about economics considering the New York Times recently reported about an 80% drop in profits.
source; http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/articles/...

This is like Al Gore telling us to use less energy and live in a smaller house.

If people like Krugman could actually produce something of value, maybe they would see profits go up.

Being "the most accurate economic columnist" is akin to being the world's tallest midget!

(No offense to the vertically challenged intended)

(Lots of offense to Klugman intended)
