Isn't it clear what eight years of more 'supply side' economics created? They call it 'trickle down', I call it getting p'd on!

Happy Labor Day! |

Hmm. I seem to remember things were better under Clinton. Maybe GOP economics is all wet? Apparently, tax cuts for the wealthy don't really help. Now they think they can drill their way out of the current oil crisis. Vote for McSame and the Miss Alaska pageant reject if you want four more years of this.

Looks like we are starting to see the results of sending good paying jobs overseas. The jobs flowing out of the country also take purchasing power out of the country. Obviously, as an individual's purchasing power declines, so does the whole economy. With the housing bubble blow-out, the last economic leg that was keeping this country from going over the cliff is now gone. Now we have the door wide open for foreign investors to buy housing that the average American can no longer buy and call his own.

IN the 80's it was Japanese who was buying up golf clubs and other pieces, now it will be the Chinese. So say CHEESE and THANK YOU and learn how to use those chops sticks! We are to blame that allowed these full time politicians to support NAFTA and such that opened the door to help push our work to China and elsewhere. Go to Walmart, look at most, try to find MADE IN USA, CANADA or even MEXICO.

Will higher taxes make things better? why did the Republicans will back the house and senate after two years of Clinton? Ask yourself that, but you will likely believe what you want to believe |

So much for Republicans knowing how to run the economy. It has not been this bad since his dad was in office. Bush and McCain one in the same. Time for change any kind of change.

Shrub's fabulous economic policies at work. And McBush wants to promise us more of the same? We can't afford another four years of McBush! Obama just needs to keep asking people, over, and over, and over, and over ... Are you better off than you were eight years ago? No way McBush and KkKarl can fight that question. It won it for the last D to hold office, and it'll win it for the new guy.

Yup. Remember when Americans felt assualted by Japanese goods? Wal-Mart played up the outrage by bragging about how they stock American made products...you couldn't walk into a Wal-Mart without being deluged by red, white and blue signs screeming "Made in America". However, Wal-Mart, in order to gain access to the Chinese retail market sold their souls to the Chi-Comms and agreed to stock Chinese made goods in their stores all over the world. And, the American consumer, always the bargain hound (so they could buy their McMansions and SUVs) looked the other way as Made in the USA disappeared from the products they bought and were replaced by Made in China. Well, that is until the economy tanked and they looked around and find them being owned by the Chinese, dependant upon them for most if not all of their consumer goods and unable to afford any of it let alone anything made here. There may be a silver lining however. The cost of shipping anything here might cause companies to return to our shores. Its a long shot I know, but possible. |

Just can't say it can you...I don't care WHAT qualifiers you try to use...we were ECONOMICALLY BETTER UNDER CLINTON...so...suck it up son... |

Bush has wrecked this country. Bin Laden must be laughing his butt off at Bush and the people who voted for him. If McCain wins we will become a third world country. Heck a few of our cities already look like a third world country. If it wasn't for cities like Chicago and LA nobody would be working.

"But President Bush, concerned about the impact the stimulus payments will have on the budget deficit, has resisted those calls, insisting that the rebate payments will continue to support the economy in coming months."
How long does he think $600 lasts in the average household? |

Okay people - 8 years of 2 criminals in office, bought & paid for by the oil companies & military contractors. Did anyone need a crystal ball to see that the majority of our dollars would go to fund a war, aka, into the pockets of the military contractors, one of them being Halliburton? Did anyone need a crystal ball to see that the oil companies will charge as much as possible with Bush/Cheney at the helm? Bush doesn't want a second round of stimulus checks due to the deficit? He created the deficit! Like Gramm said, the man who wrote McBush's economic plan, "they're a bunch of whiners". You're damn right I'm a whiner. I'm whining that all our tax dollars are being stolen by military contractors to fight a war for the oil companies. I'm whining that Bush/Cheney have left this country crippled by debt. I'm whining that we don't have money to pay for infrastructure. I'm whining about the threat to our Constitutional rights under the Republican facsist regime. Enough is enough. This country has been mis-managed and held hostage by corporate interests and now we're paying the price.
Wake up people! You are not benefitting under these failed economic policies. And please, unless you're racking in the majority of your income by your investments, not wages, you're getting screwed. A vote for McBush is continued torture and theft of the American people. |

Subtract inflation from the GDP and then you will see how bad the economy is. |

Our economy is in the tank for many reasons. We have to educate, house, feed and medically take care of the lowest 40% of US wage earners the majority of which pay no taxes at all. Those of you making an annual income of $56,300 better get ready to pay whopping taxes under Obama when the tax cuts are remove. Under Obama you get to be considered those weathy americans many democrats seem to loathe. One you get hit hard with taxes you'll really have no incentive to work hard and then you'll see this country really in the toilet. When I was young and had no money, my incentive was to work hard and live frugally so I would not be poor anymore. Now everyone is going to be poor, except the uber wealthy.
|
|
Oh, cut the crap. Obama's tax plan was a tax cut for earners under $75k, and tax increase for those over $250k. Those in between, no change. Get your head out of the toilet and Google it. |

but it's all in our heads

I don't hear Republicans whining anymore saying that we should privatize Social Security and invest it in the stock market.
ooops! |
