Since the writer is quoting the speaker directly, there is no need to fact check anything. If it were presented as a fact and were not attributed to the person who was quoted, it should be verifiied. Learn a bit more about the newspaper business before you try to use an alias like Your Copy Editor. Have you ever even been inside a newsroom?
