Only in America can you break the law, tax the citizens, and feel justified in making demands. At least show some respect and stick with the American flag this time, jeez..................

I'll never forget what happened at Montebello High School with our flag during that "successful grass-roots movement". Is it too much to ask the citizens of America to mobilize and hold our own political rally to have our current immigration laws upheld? There's so many reasons why those laws are in place. Our current state of health care and education are enough testimony alone for me. Rally to enforce our laws.

Our Hispanic American brothers and sisters at work, And they wonder why we put them in the same class as the illegal aliens. "Organizers in Phoenix and several other cities are ramping up plans to stage a nationwide economic boycott on May 1,hoping to ride the momentum of Monday's massive demonstrations in support of comprehensive immigration reform. The organizers want supporters to stay home from work and school and spend no money May 1 in an effort to call attention to the economic contributions of undocumented immigrants. ...Leaders of the coalition behind Monday's Somos America march plan to meet today to discuss their next steps. They said they have not had time to begin planning for the boycott, but some organizers said they would participate. "We will undoubtedly be involved, but we haven't made any arrangements yet," said Roberto Reveles, a member of the coalition that organized Monday's march and rally. ...Elias Bermudez, president of the Phoenix group, Immigrants Without Borders, said the boycott is intended to demonstrate that undocumented immigrants are an integral part of the economy and they deserve to earn legal status. Immigrant-rights advocates are planning boycotts in several cities nationwide, but so far the boycotts are not as well coordinated as the April 10 demonstrations, said Germonique Jones, spokeswoman for the Center for Community Change in Washington, D.C., an immigrant rights group. "By then, we will be able to see whether the Senate has reached a compromise on immigration reform," said Marissa Graciosa, spokeswoman for the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights. Amelia Frank-Vitale, a labor union organizer with Unite Here, predicts many Valley restaurants and hotels will be hit hard by the May 1 boycott, considering the impact of Monday's march and rally, which forced many restaurants, businesses, and construction sites to close or slow production for the day...

Why don't those LOSERS go make demands in their own country? Hispanics that are American citizens have no problems, they have their rights and their citizenship, why are illegals being allowed to HIJACK OUR Democratic Convention to TELL us that WE HAVE TO GIVE ILLEGALS A PATHWAY TO CITIZENSHIP? There's already a pathway to citizenship, it's called LEGAL IMMIGRATION...WHAT A CONCEPT!! People who disrespect our laws and our country shouldn't be given a damn thing! What about the immigrants who are waiting for permission to enter this country who have gone about immigating LEGALLY? What about them? If we reward these absconders they will just demand MORE. They are nothing but extortionists! ICE needs to be alerted to this rally and they have a duty to be there and do their job! ICE needs to arrest as many of these people as possible and DEPORT THEM!

While they weren't spending any money, I on the other hand had an enjoyable day off work, spending mine. It was great, everyone spoke English and people used their manners. I'd like another day or two to do the same! I didn't miss mothers with cell phones screaming at their anchors in Spanish, while carrying on a conversation in Spanish, running shopping carts into others without an apology. Don't you know, we're in their way? If I remember correctly businesses reported business may have been down a tad, but shoplifting and other crimes were drastically reduced too!

What it all comes down to is the the Famous Word ILLEGAL. I hope everyone that shows to this rally who is not legal get busted and sent back to there country. Who cares if they take a day off of work, maybe they will also not ride the bus system that day and I will not have to listen to Spanish all day what a concept that would be. I agree with WOW "Only in America can you break the law, tax the citizens, and feel justified in making demands" Who do you think you are?? A prime example of making demands. The trucking industry, they came in saying I will run your load for half the price of the other guy and took over most of the trucking business. Now they want twice as much as the company was paying originally. Ya things have gone up but had they not undermined the industry they would be making a good living still this day. If your ILLEGAL get the heck out of our country.

The influx of ESL students are slowing our school's curriculums down. Our kids are being frustrated out of their right to recieve a proper education. People can't get jobs unless they speak spanish. My son had to switch high schools because they are bullying him and calling him white boy. Our citys are being turned to shit. We had a nine hour wait in the ER with suspected appendicitis and then we didn't even see a real doctor. We were rear ended by a drunk illegal alien driving without a licence, and without insurance (not to mention it wasn't even his car) at 2:00 in the afternoon. Our quality of life is being threatened. Our current immigration laws were put in place for a reason. Enforce them. And for crying out loud declare English as our language so our citizens can work.

Why are catholic priests getting involved with politics and law enforcement? I am tired of these priests advocating breaking our laws. They enjoy tax exempt status for their income and wealth and yet they continue to violate our laws by aiding and encouraging illegal immigration. The catholic church should lose it's tax exempt status. Priests who encourage illegal immigration should be prosecuted and jailed. Nobody is above the law, not even priests. We have separation of church and state. If you become politically active as a religion, then you forfeit your tax exempt status.

We have separation of church and state. If you become politically active as a religion, then you forfeit your tax exempt status. I'm with you on this. I can't quote exactly what the Pope stated in April, but he basically said immigrants ( nothing about illegal) are God's children and should be helped. Wish he'd have said that IN Mexico. The Catholic church numbers are down, since the perverted Priest scandals. The church needs money to support the Vatican, which in my opinion could take in much less. Most Mexicans are Catholic, so there you are. We're stuck with Mexico's poor, doing jobs Americans would do if paid a decent wage. The States pay for the welfare, so the illegals can send money home. I'm still not buying the B.S. the money is sent to support loved ones. We have too many paying thousands to smugglers. I've had way too much of this myself, therefore, check the credentials of every non-profit before thinking about donating anything.
