Sonny if you don't realize the fact that the current crop of Republicans are the masters of big money and are totally under its influence ... why then you are a fool who has never read enough to be aware of political reality. You would likely have voted for Hoover back in 32 like our neighbour did just before he lost everything and blew his brains out.

I know how you feel Dennis. I don't know how I got on the Republican e-mail list. Now I'm also getting the famous e-mail smears against Obama. The e-mail smears are the hidden swift boats of this elections, I just hit the yahoo Spam button and delete them and anther one shows up. My time is at least worth 20 dollars an hour. These e-mail smears are costing me time out of my life. I'm going to sent McCain/Bush a bill.

If you would do some checking those socalled smears are the truth. Go ahead and believe what these clowns tell you and sell this country down the river. Some people are so dense it just amazes me. Look at the state of Illinois , which is completely by democrats, that is nothing what Obama will do for the good U.S.A.

The overwhelming numbers of people supporting Obama want something free from the government and that's all they really care about.He'll use the faith based money as a backdoor for reparations to black churches while obliterating the Christian right's funding.The only reason they want the war in Iraq over is they smell the money. A lot of Obama's supporters believe the goverment should pay their mortgages and of course healthcare not to mention college and heating bills.

Obama wants to take billions from the oil companies and create over a million phony green jobs with the money.This is the real reason they oppose drilling. Most of the bills Dems pass really aren't about helping anybody but creating government jobs which are hugely expensive but they are reliable Dem voters.This is all part of their wealth redistribution schemes.Surburban private sector workers pay the bills for the liberal excess and self rewarding behavior.I read about a Dem culture of corruption just about every day but the MSM hides them and when they do report them they just poo poo them away as everybody does it or dems don't run on values.Don't believe theDemslies about only taxing rich people. Most rich people are Dems,especially high paid government workers.You'' pay a broad based carbon tax or healthcare ax in addition to paying your own way on both.Wealthy liberal investors and fund managers are creating the the high price of fuel and food to make voters angry at the republicans.

This column reminds me of how many times the Republicans have cried wolf and how many times Karl Rove has done his Chicken Little routine.

Come on, folks. Check out FactCheck.org , which Byrne cites and which is decidedly non-partisan (yes, they take on McCain too). In this case, Sen. Obama has clearly backtracked from what he promised to do.

Neither of these men has shown the total integrity they promise and I for one want to see.

Wow, thanks for the compliment. I never considered myself a big donor before, but my $225 given over the course of a year makes me feel so important now!

Some people will write just about anything to make him look bad.

I guess I'm considered one of the 55% of big donors because in toto I've given the Obama campaign more than $200. However, the way I've done it is through repeated $25 contributions. I don't think I'm alone in this practice. Oh, and no mention in the article about the substantial amounts the RNC has raised? "Truth" can be shaded different ways.
