We will do that. My daughter and wife also enjoy shooting.target shooting is a GREAT family activity.Soon I will be doing that with my grandson. I still have the kids Crickett .22 Heck the son and I still take it with us when we go shooting. The little thing is sooooo cute and it's a nail driver @ 20 yards
Cool stuff..I used to hang out with a bunch of black powder/ buckskinners..Ive been to several shoots..They always have a lot of great targets from days of old.[ string shooting, poker chips, splitting playing cards, egg shoots, etc...}.Lots of fun with totally primitive stuff..

Egg shoots are if you dont hit it,,,you eat it [raw] or wear it [ on your forehead] all day..Ive never lost

Love those little cricketts. Though all grown up with a family of his own, my boy will bring his crickett & I'll grab my Stevens and compete with them.
Great!!! I use my Ruger 10/22. Wife still uses her Remington black Apache .22 rifle she got as a teenager.

I bought my Crickett .22 from a guy at work. I will keep it in the family. I have never sold a gun in my life.I only buy them.Kids will have to split them up after I am gone.

That's one good thing about the slow economy I have picked up quit a few great deals on guns from people that need money.Stole a AK-47 and a .308 Springfield Armory M1A from a guy going through a divorce last year.Paid $1500 for both. I felt guilty for about 10 minutes.

Sounds like fun. Been so busy this year we have not been out shooting much.

I bought a new 26'camper 6 weeks ago and have yet to get it out camping.I did repack the wheel bearings on my only day off last week. These 84 hour work weeks are great money but suck your life force to dangerous low levels.4 more 12 hour shifts I will get 3 days off. Mountains here I come.

While I've been able to get some great deals lately myself, it is nothing to compare with yours. Almost like it was a "buy one, get one free".

And likewise I have every gun that I have ever owned.

Go to the FBI page, Gun crimes have decreased 36% in the last 10 years, your a nutter and I think your jealous because the law won't allow you to own a gun.

You are a liar.
But we have established that.
Trends for vehicle fatalities are dropping; firearms have been increasing.
If you use real numbers from the real word.
It isn't up to me to make you admit you are fudging the numbers, Shug.

Sniper,
I told you she was crazy lol. It is intresting that Gun crimes have dropped by 36% in the last 10 years, yet the number of suicides in the USA have tripled in the last three years and I wonder if barefoot would be willing to tell me how innocent people are killed by Law enforcement every 24 hours in the USA, by mistake, yup 8 people die everyday, i wonder if she could tell us about how many people are killed by Doctors each year ?, over 1 million people die in the USA each year from surgical errors and 680,000 people die from Prescription medication errors by doctors.

BTW barefoot. last year over 300,000 people died in the USA from accidental falls in thier own homes.

Barefoot,

Want to know why Gun Makers are exempt ?, simple they tell you a gun is a dangerous weapon and they tell you what it can do, Tobacco companies knew smoking causd cancer and could kill you and swore they didn't, they even paid off scientist that testified smoking was safe.

barefoot2626 wrote:

Right.
It's my fault the the poor gun manufacturers were forced to go to US Congress and ask to be exempted from liability laws that they needed so people injured using their product were (and are) being killed and injured.
Like those bastards who kept getting cancer when they smoked cigarettes: they were putting the tobacco people out of business!

This is because they have already received extensive training in firearms and other weapons, including those that are not available to citizens.
This is crap as well: marching around carrying an M1 during the Korean War doesn't extensive training make.

Your CCW "extensive training" claim is a bucket of pigeon poo.

Barefoot,

Your acting like a child. Don't blame the rest of us because you can not pass the back ground Check to own a Firearm.

Only 2 states in the USA do not require training for a permit for CCW, the rest of them do, the average Police Gestapo only gets 25 hours of firearms training, I know this because I teach Police how to shoot and that is all they are alloted for training and each year they only have to shoot 5 rounds to qualify and most small jurisdictions may go 10 years before they ever fire a shot, sorry but these are the facts, and I'm sorry if you will not even except the numbers that the Violence Policy Center has released, last year out of 30.000 Gun deaths, 1620 were caused by cops from accidental shootings, 40% of the remaining is self-inflicted Gun Shots eg suicides, and additional 40% is caused by Drug associated Shootings, and the rest is just straight up murder.
As I have already stated, we are all glad you do not own any firearms, your lack of maturity and hot headeness is a clear indicator of the danger you are to society.

Wrong again, The firearms industry is the highest regulated industry in the world and they warn over and over again of the dangers of firearms and the Tobacco industry lied, said ther product was safe, not addictive, and in fact they used to claim smoking was good for you.

Firearms manufacturers have never stated they were safe and are protected by the 2nd Amendment.

Yes the NRA does contribute and they get 2/3's of their money from membership, I personly donate 100 bucks a month and the membership includes almost 40% of the US population.yes I said 40% of the people in the USA are members of the NRA, don't believe me ?, ask Bill Clinton, he actually did the study that proved this fact.

Vets have already taken the "class". It lasts anywhere between 3-35 years, is "hands on" and includes stimulated and real life situations that you couldn't ever imagine.

What part of "Shall not be infringed" don't you understand? That is the only Amendment in the Constitution that makes this demand.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Aquarius

Someone is confused and muddled today, making it difficult to talk for long without becoming equally bemused. Avoid making decisions or researching important information, because there's a strong possibility of getting crossed wires, or talking at cross purposes. A memory may also be distorted now, leading to mix-ups or bewilderment.
