Thanks "Just Luke", for your service to our country, our UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, which still is one nation under God, if he gets in to office, it won't be! I for one, appreciate your service. Look up ELITIST in the dictionary, you'll see a pic of B. Hussein Obama. The city of Tulsa should like him, the officials think just like he does.
As for me, I'll continue singing the real national anthem, I'll keep saying & meaning the pledge of allegence while saluting the Flag & just keep clinging to my gun and my religion. He's scarier than Hillary, and I thought nothing was scarier than Hillary!!!

The only people that would go see Obama if he actually came here would be people like Kathy Taylor looking for face time.

I would prefer that he not go to Oklahoma. Because of the winner-take-all Electoral College system (although Nebraska divides its Electoral votes by Congressional District) popular votes for a candidate in many states are wasted when he doesn't have a chance. I think that discourages voting, and there needs to be serious study of a more fair way to elect a President. We also need to be sure that the voting machines cannot be programmed by people who can "fix" the election ahead of time, or from a distance. Our right to vote is not really safe, and our votes do not necessarily count, and that discourages people, which is bad for democracy. That problem is important, no matter who the candidates are.

It's not true that he wouldn't salute the flag. The issue with the flag pin seems to have taken on a life of his own. You know the Tulsa World commercial where people are saying what they think are facts with the buzzer going on in the background because they're saying the wrong things? This is the same thing. And, "You know me also", it's untrue that he'll swear in on a Koran. Obama is a Christian. You're thinking of Congressman Keith Ellison (MN) who has done that very thing. You've got a really long post full of half truths when all you really wanted to do is name-call, saying that he's a dipstick. Just do the hick thing you want to do and call him names, without the long winded effort of showing off your tremendous typing skills.

Why would you push so hard to have a non-American come. He refuses to salute our flag, his wife hates Americans, & he hates white people. Nobody knows what his "Change" is, that's the only word he knows. He's a Muslim and he would hand this country over in a heartbeat to the Muslims. Doesn't anyone have any brains between their ears left. Too many drugs, I guess. People wake up, don't put an enemy in office. Keep him out of our state.

Wow, what ignorance! This state really does deserve its reputation. What a shame! It you don't like Obama's policies, that's fine, but support your argument with fact rather than unsubstantiated hate and ignorance.
A college education should be required to vote!

to Really - that won't work - they'll all go to Liberty U and claim they are educated! Also, please add "recent" reputation. I was acquainted with Fred and LaDonna Harris (wonderful people). And Boren Sr. was and is rather OK. I watched the brilliant, interesting, challenging, forward-loooking symposium he hosted at the University -- with very bright, independent-thinking people from both parties. Boren did a good job as host, and it was a splendid idea to have that discussion with those (mostly) first-rate people. A lot more sensible than the naive Unity 08 types who think that a Pres from one party and a VP from another is the way to go. The whole government has to be loaded with first-rate people of several parties (a Vegetarian in the Ag department to oversee organic farming wouldn't be a bad idea), and there are positions ideal for Libertarians, also. And Greens all over the Energy Department (up-to-date experts and technicians, not Nader types). PS: You didn't mean the last line - it would be evil and elitist and you were kidding. It would give all the advantage to the rich, and would provide incentives for them to oppose all scholarships for intelligent young people from low and middle income groups.

You know me also wrote:
It is also my understanding that he won't salute the flag. I have also read that if he wins, he will not take the oath on the bible, he will do it on the Koran. This SOB can take his book, and his not saluting self and his liberalistic bull crap ideas, hop on the first plane that comes along and take it anywhere but anyplace within the United States.
Since this is all our personal comments, I am going to add another one. Gov Brad Henry should take a step back from what he is doing. I like him, and what he has done for this state. I might not agree with him or things he does sometimes, but I think overall, he has been really good for the state of Oklahoma. He needs to distance himself from Obama and actually listen to the people in Oklahoma and tell him to stay away from our state.
Granted I know that there are people who support that dipstick, heaven only knows why, but I don't think there is enough to do any good in getting the state to give him the electoral votes.
One last thing, I am a white male, and I would not have a problem voting for a female or an African American as long as they want what is best for this country. I just have a really bad feeling that this country is headed for places that the majority of the country does not want to go but it is going to take a big uproar to be able to prove this to the political dumba**es that we have now.
First of all, it is NOT true that he won't salute the flag. It is just another republican smear campaign that started soon after the 2004 presidential election. Secondly, he is a complete and total Christian; a Christian who is more open and outspoken about his faith than McCain. And if you are scared about the direction you think the country might be headed...then you probably shouldn't vote for McCain because he might as well make Bush his VP - because McCain is going to be just like Bush, if not worse.

Based on some of these unsupported comments made on here, I could not agree more. "Really" has definitely got it right....do a little research into the rumor-mill people, and be an educated participant in society, not a worthless blod taking up uneducated space.
