Abortion- the way to reduce the responsibilities of the irresponsible. Ever think about the incredible amount of education that has been tossed in the waste baskets in our schools so we can teach about sex? And still we have abortions continuing the 40,000,000 saga of unwanted babies being killed. I used to believe it was the woman's choice. I've come to realize that the baby is totally innocent, never asked to be conceived and should be given the same rights as the rest of us. Yet, there are those, Obama being #1, to "not punish" with kids those that make mistakes. How do you reconcile that with the truly innocent, the unborn and in some cases, Illinois for instance, even those born alive, to be killed so the mother is not "punished". It's the child that is punished. Stop the killing now. WE ALL can do some thing here.

The decision to kill an innocent human being should never be "left to individuals."

All this anti-choice rhetoric... Funny how self-righteous folks are anxious to see all these babies born but not quite willing to help support them after the fact. Why don't we try to take care of the ones that are starving and sick first.

JustaMoronicThought-
Great logic in your post, let's see if I have it straight, it's okay to kill in order to take of others, is that about right?

The abortion issue is a "non-issue" as is gay marriage and gun control and welfare. What I mean by that is they are issues that get people very very upset, as you will see when this comment chain reaches 900 posts.... everyone argues about abortion while our government screws us over. It's one of many issues used to keep the masses under control. So, that said, argue away folks! Let at it!

Hey JustaThought,
My wife and I are Pro-Life. We work Pro-Life issues. We, along with many of our like-minded friends, do whatewver we can to make sure babies in the Panhandle of Texas have a chance for life. And many of us, my wife and I included, have adopted children who's mothers gave them the precious gift of life. Many of us on the Pro-Life side of this issue do "step up" and do what's right. What say you?

Oh, how dark and empty the soul that justifies murder of the tiny innocent. "Religious Lemmings"?
Call me what you will, but I will defend the helpless from conscienceless monsters who turn their unborn young into a "choice".

Perhaps you wish financial (TAX) power, or intellectual ( THOUGHT CRIME) power or social (ASSOCIATIVE) power. Any others ...? Regular lil' tyrant now, aren't you. Best be much better-ARMED than those you wish to enslave.
And you are stupid enough to condemn an unborn baby? You can't understand innocence because of your own rotting soul.

You raise a point which has been raised before, perhaps promoted by the left or others who have been influenced by the left. I don't know what facts you are thinking of when you claim that pro-life people are less willing to help the poor and destitute, but...

Here's something to deflate that myth: in a scholarly study of the issue, conservatives were found to be more charitable than liberals.

Lots of speculation that McCain will take Joe L. An interesting calculation if he does. He must figure he will be able to offset the droves of evangelicals and Catholics who will not vote for him if he chooses JL.

"Anti-choice" is an interesting way to spin it.

It seems to me that unless the woman was raped, a choice WAS made.

If conservatives were truly interested in a decline in the number of abortions, they would work to educate people and reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies. Instead, they want to legislate to take away the rights of people to make their own choices in regards to their body.

What conservatives fail to realize is that there are MANY voters out there who, like myself and future President Barak Obama, are Pro-Choice, but not Pro-Abortion.

In other words, Pro-Choice is NOT the opposite of Pro-Life.

If you get pregnant, but don't think you can raise the child, the only moral CHOICE is ADOPTION.

I think McCain can kiss the election goodbye if he chooses Lieberman. He wants to appear like a renegade, a moderate, whatever, but he's just going to completely alienate the conservative base he's been fighting so hard to win over (who have been wary of him all along).

Agreed. This would seal the Messiah's victory. I can't believe he could be that stupid, which reminds me that voting for him could be a wasted effort anyway. One popular conservative columnist has suggested that a victory for Obama would be better; the next four years are not going to go well, and if a conservative gets blamed again for all the world's ills, 2012 is a cinch for someone like Hillary. If we give Obama a chance to earn everyone's ire (except the brothers, of course), 2012 could be the perfect time for a REAL conservative.

Go ahead Obama, you fix everything. Right.

Think about it. If you are not pro-life, you are not pro-choice, you're pro-DEATH.
