Congratulations, North Carolina! You've joined a large and growing majority of states with constitutional amendments preventing citizens from being disenfranchised on the legal definition of marriage! Homosexual 'marriage' is a cruel lie with no real basis in how homosexual live! No significant percent of the homosexual population has 'married' in ANY country that allows it, and studies have shown that few such 'marriages' are even exclusive relationships. The homosexual 'marriage' movement is a hate based political charade attacking what others hold sacred. No homosexual relationship shares the reasons for government involvement in real marriage. No economically or physically unequal genders are involve. No child is ever born as a direct result, and no such relationship can provide a child with a father and mother. Having both is one of the most accurate statistical predictions of a child's future success in life. Homosexual themselves overwhelmingly reject 'marriage' as an actual practice in EVERY country that allows the concocted oxymoron.

I am going to just marry a female friend of mine. I, as her legal husband, will apply for her benefits. I will never sleep with her, so kids won't be a problem. I will never live with her, so property won't be an issue. I will live with my boyfriend (I call him husband, so fuck you), and I will sleep with him, and I will use any and all benefits that I get from being legally married, I will share with my husband. Life will be a bit complicated, but I will have benefits and if my wife happens to pass before me, my husband and I will enjoy her survivor benefits.

This amendment means nothing. Gay marriage was already illegal in North Carolina. But this is akin to the laws that prevented, nor recognized interracial marriages half a century ago. SCOTUS will rule these types of state constitutional amendments, and states laws unconstitutional under the U.S. Constitution's 14th Amendment and the full faith and credit clause. This vote means nothing except to show how backwards and prejudiced so many people in the South are.

Have you ever noticed the intolerance and downright hate that those on the Left, supposed colleagues, demonstrate towards those expressing opposing views on matters so trivial as Democrat-homosexual-politics? The "liberals" have turned the universities into scorched-earth wastelands where one must learn the intricacies of the myriad bureaucracies to succeed. Democrats and all who associate with them are merely worthy of ridicule.

The headline of the article is also Pravda-like pro-homosexualist-Democrat propaganda/spin. What actually happened is that the voters of North Carolina put the political peccadilos of liberal judges outside the reach of the Constitution of the State of North Carolina. Well done, Tarheels!!! The voice of the voters will be heard, or else. Just ask Dick Lugar of Indiana, supposed lifetime Republican US Senator who got primaried out of his seat by an actual conservative. The TEA Party is far from over. Except for Chapel Hills, I love North Carolina! Well done!

No, the other moron didn't notice, because he also was too busy listening to drug addict, Rush L., spew venom all day. Hey evilgelical nutcase, if we had laws saying talibangelical scumbuckets couldn't marry, adopt, serve openly, teach, be protected from arbitrary firing you freeeks wouldn't be characterizing such bigotry as "opposing views." We know who the bigots are, and they're going the way of the KKK - to the farthest margins of polite society.

This vote means nothing except to show how backwards and prejudiced so many people in the South are. the attitude of the gay community has turned the normal people against you Gay pride parades with sex on the streets and perverts like the two on the cruise ship have sunk your cause If decency was in your vocabulary we would not be having this discussion
