I am a fierce proponent of our First Amendment freedoms. I believe real understanding comes from spirited dialog between both sides (or all sides) of an issue, however I have to call into question the integrity and responsibility of the Sun News' Editorial staff that allows completely inaccurate, arguably libelous, and speech that blatently allows ad hominem attacks on a person or their supporters such as Michelle Malkin's column. Using language like "radical cult of Barack Obama", "gangland tactics", "thuggish attempt", "terrorist", and calling Senator Obama's supporters "worshipers", is reckless and has no place in a public forum. I believe that these trolling tactics should not used by anyone, whether the left or right; it has no place in our honorable public forum. In my opinion, the Sun News has a responsability to the public to report fair, balanced, and truthful news regardless of the point of view. While I expect this sort of behavior from celebrities like Rush Limbaugh, our local newpaper's editorial staff should have a more neutral compass and not allow such rhetorical dribble.

So what should this lady have said? How should she have described her experiences? Do you really think the Sun-News can be less left-wing liberal?

It's very simply, the writer can express her opinion without resorting to name calling, personal attacks, or equating Obama supports to "worshipers". She could also have supported her arguments with concrete evidence. I would have much more respect for her opinion is she had stated her arguement in a mature manner. It is this sort of rhetoric that turns people off to politics. After all, when you resort to pandering and the lowest elements your arguement fails to become effective.

It does not upset me. There are far more important issues to worry about than either these rantings.

Change? Looks like typical, Chicago rough and tumble politics...and more. I have been to China and other communist nations and this is what their leaders do: they erect statues of themselves, nurture a cult like following and tolerate no dissent from any quarter. Scary if he gets in office and secures real power.

Funny how obama, his campaign and supporters continually try to HIDE all the radical extremist terrorist ties associated with this fraud called obama. This is one dangerous person to even be considered for president. America is not stupid and will end this pathetiic fraud obamas campaign very, very soon. We now will make history and have the first female vice president in Palin. Palin is an excellent choice and has energized the nation and she even has more experience to be president than McCain does. obama is a shikster, a scam artist who will change a position as fast as you turn your back on him. Anyone who supports obama is a loser as obama will be, to support such a terrible person for president shows you have no smarts, have bad judgement and are not looking out for the best interests of the country period. True Americans will vote the McCain/Palin ticket and make history for the good of the country. We all will be better fot it.

There is more to the fraud obama we are not aware of yet but will see very, very soon. You all will be SHOCKED even more. THIS GUY OBAMA IS A VERY DANGEROUS PERSON AND IS NOT CAPABLE OF BEING PRESIDENT. Why does obama, his campaign and the mainstream media continue to HIDE the true facts about this fraud to the American people. Just pathetic it is, as obama is.

Actually a true American should VOTE and vote their concious, regardless what others think, regardless of what others say, and against all adversity. As a former election judge, I have seen people come out and vote. What does my heart good is when I see Americans of all backgrounds exercise a right many have been denied around the globe - especially when there is a super high voter turnout. Whether they vote Democrat, Republican, Green, Reform, or any frinde party what is admirable is that they actually voted.

I have always wondered if those that protest against Obama, actually know the man or are they just repeating the rhetoric and untruths they are told. I lived in Illinois from 1995 until 2002, and while I did not know the man on a personal level, I have met him. I witnessed all the hard and positive work he did for his constituents and the citizens who lost their jobs, their homes, and their spirit. The man actually provided hope for those who had lost all hope, and fought for them to take responsibility for their lives, their community, and to affect their own destiny - for this he has my support and my vote come November.

Oops, PALIN as VP has more experience to be president than obama does. We all know McCain is the most experienced, best qualified leader this country needs for president. What a great exciting winning ticket McCain and Palin will be. Great VP choice.

This article concerning obama and his campaign is very troubling indeed. What great lengths being taken to FRAUD the American people before the election. It's a cover-up like we have never seen the likes of before. it will not work, as true Americans are not stupid.

Election Judge, how many of the people you watched "vote" could actually read and write? If Illinois was so right for you, than get the hell back up there.
