Fair enough, but it is ridiculous to compare a reactionary like Joe Kennedy to Ted Kennedy who has been a liberal standard bearer for 40 years. Critics of the Kennedy's need to read at least one authoratative political history book that addresses the last 40 years. Its not possible to accuse Ted Kennedy of his political positions and simultaneously impugn his his father's. What side are you on boy, what side are you on? You are not up to the task.

Holy Crap a Kennedy apologist.

Hey Willet. Kennedy was a useless miscreant LONG before the Idiot King showed up, If anything Kennedy's total disregard for decency and truth and fair play was a MODEL for Bush to run with.

Kennedy was a role model for every Congressman and Senator on how to get away with MURDER and keep your job and status.

Get a clue. Kennedy was every bit as corrupt and immoral as Bush or worse because Bush probably isn't bright enough to realize what he's done.

Kennedy did everything he's done BY DESIGN.

It's easily possible to imagine the wasteland it will be if we let them in the White House.

Ted Kennedy is why this country is screwed up. The most repulsive thing about fat teddy is his clack of kool-aid drinking bots. This guy is a murderer and he still has millions of mindless followers...a disgusting cult of personality.

Even as a liberal, I don't welcome Ted to the convention. I think it is a bad move. Obama is running on a campaign of CHANGE and bipartisanship.
He should be the face of change.
Teddy, despite his accomplishments, is the face of Washington divisivness and business as usual.

Proof of this is the immediate reaction by right wing conservatives on this very forum. Granted half are probably psychos, but I think that even moderate Republicans who could swing toward Obama are turned off by Teddy.

I'm glad he's going to be there. Someone has to have the honor of throwing out the first drunk, might as well be Obama.

The real question is, how can we get the Kennedy the Cape Cod Orca, Nancy Stretch Pelosi and Harry The Body Reid to go on a hunting trip with Dick Cheney?!

Tell me you wouldn't pay good money for that!! LOL!!!!!

Can you provide me with one specific example of Obama's alleged "bipartisanship"? How much bipartisonship did he accomplish in his 143 days in the US Senate?

I thought it was very interesting in the Saddleback debate when Obama was asked this very question, he tried to talk about an ethics reform bill he initially co-sponsored with John McCain. When push came to shove, the Dem leadership was against the bill, so he withdrew his support.

THAT'S bipartisonship?

As a conservative, McCain would not have been my first choice, but he clearly has an established record of reaching across the aisle to work on causes he believes in, even at the risk of alienating his own party.

McCain/Feingold & the Gang of 14 instantly come to mind. While I totally disagree with McCain/Feingold, I give him credit for the Gang of 14.

My point is, if there's one candidate who has the PROVEN record - not just the rhetoric - of working across party lines, it sure as hell isn't Obama!
