The fact is people of colour are actually RELUCTANT to allege racism, be it on the job, or in schools, or anywhere else. It is actually the case that black and brown folks typically "stuff" our experiences with discrimination and racism, only making an allegation of such treatment after MANY, MANY, MANY incidents. You say we play the ‘Race Card’ but whites reply in an INSTANT with their ‘Denial Card’, shooting down any evidence of racism as little more than the fantasies of unhinged blacks, unwilling to take personal responsibility for our own problems in life.

Black Warrior,

I think Black Whiner would be more appropriate. What the hell era are you stuck in? Blacks are RELUCTANT to allege racism? The favorite phrase is "You disrespected me."
What aren't blacks allowed to do today? Please tell me. Your Obama buddy is a classic example.
IVY LEAGUE EDUCATION. I couldn't afford one if I wanted to and I certainly don't have his intellectual capacity but I still don't trust him and he's a baby killer and he doesn't even care about his own half brother in Kenya living in poverty. Black has nothing to do with it. I'd vote for Colin Powell against ALL the others running right now because I feel more respect for him than ANY of the rest of them. But I imagine Colin is smarter than any of them by NOT running.
Stop your crying and whining. And stop supposing you know what's going on in our minds and hearts because you don't!!

Obama is a lying, self-serving, baby killer. Why should I have any respect for anyone who promotes abortion. You'll say that sounds like a color issue because that's all you know. Get out of your own way and examine your views more closely. See if maybe you are the real racist here!!

You are extremely naive if you think the point of Obama supports bringing up race to to make it an issue in the election. Other than the normal Democratic promise of handouts and wealth transfer programs, Obama is counting on Black voter solidarity and enough 'white guilt' to make the difference.
Obama is counting on race being an issue.
Well if the claim that whites make up about 80% of this country's population, that's an awful lot of white guilt going around. It's so funny to see these posts about race being such an issue and then other's saying that blacks only make up about 12% of the population. So even if ALL of them registered to vote-legit or not AND ALL voted for Obama (which we know won't happen-just look at that radio guy begging McCain to be tougher on Obama) why would that bring Obama even close to winning? Either the numbers are skewed or there's a heck of alot more people vying for Obama than just black people.

Obama talks a great game but his record tells the truth. I believe racism is more of a factor for blacks then whites because if they looked at his prior associations and political record it is a FACT that it doesn't match his speeches about doing this and fixing that and "he" is the one we've been waiting for... yeah, right.

Cut out the b.s. and there is no reason to vote for the loony Obama. I think many more blacks are voting for hiim because of race, than whites will vote against him because of race.

Case in point, when he was running for the Democratic nomination, none of the news shows talked about "there's going to be racially motivated riots in the street if Obama doesn't win against Hillary," but now they are all promoting the idea if he doesn't win against McCain.

You are spreading an absolutely unfounded rumor because it suits your political agenda. Deal in facts or shut up. Your gutter language and absolute lack of thought makes your 'opinion' absolutely worthless.

It is foolish to even consider race, or for that matter, religion in any political race. I fail to see any logic or rational argument to that. Remember that a political campaign is the equivalent of a very long job interview. As a citizen and taxpayer, you should be most concerned about whether that person can perform their role in the best interest of the country and its citizens. Businesses cannot inquire about a persons race or religion when interviewing job applicants, so why would it be any different when interviewing someone to hold an elected position? Look at the facts for each candidate, look at their credentials, and look at their message. That is how a successful business acquires their talent. As a businessman, using the same rational process as I would for someone wanting to work at my firm, I would, without hesitation, hire Barack Obama.

Here comes the white guilt for not putting a man in the White House who has not renounced claims he is the messiah. Is that asking too much? If he was a Christian at all, he would have renounced that immediately. Of course, he is not a Christian. Christians don't form "truth squads" of prosecutors and police (in Missouri:
http://www.breitbart.tv/... ) Christians don't go to a church where the "pastor" damns the country or an ethnic group. Well, I know democrats obviously don't want a Christian in the White House, but what you've got is a guy with a messianic complex without the sense to renounce the cultishness and worship coming his way. Where are the liberals who loved the Dalai Lama? Can you have 2 messiahs?

The press is prodding people to prove they aren't racist while saying race shouldn't be a factor. When Republicans tried to stop the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac crisis, they were called racists. http://www.breitbart.tv/...
I'll tell you why as a liberal I don't want a Christian in the White House. I want someone with no religious background at all, to tell you the truth. Here is my experience with your so-called Christians: One of your good, God-fearing Christian girls who sits in church every Sunday stole money right out of my pocket when I was in grade school, another one convinced my mentally disabled brother to buy her alcohol because she was underaged, others used my brother's apt. as their own place when they ran away from home so they could have sex with their boyfriends, in grade school a few girls were calling the pastor and singing dirty lyrics to religious songs to him, but blaming me (I don't even know the songs!), a good Christian man ripped me off by $1,000 after my mother died, and the list goes on and on. My only experience with you Christians is ripping people off, lying, drinking, out of control sex, and taking advantage of disabled people. What happened to do unto others as you would have done unto you?

Do you know what a Marxist actually is or did you learn a new word from Fox News that you can't wait to try out? If you sit in church every Sunday and talk about being a good Christian like so many of the other Bible-thumping freaks on this site, then what is wrong with sharing? Aren't those good Christian values? Maybe if we had some more sharing and actual concern for our neighbors, the US crime rate would not be the highest in the world.

Inexcuseable.
Decide on the issues.
Most real Americans will do this.
My point exactly. People who vote against Obama because he's black are racist. People who vote against Obama because they agree with McCain on the issues are not racist, or at least their vote doesn't indicate racism. Most of my friends will vote Obama, but I have non-racist friends who will vote McCain because they agree with him on issues. None of my Obama supporting friends has ever called my McCain supporting friends racist, and none of my Obama supporting friends are voting for him out of "white guilt." We agree with him on issues, i.e. we need more regulation in financial markets, more accessible health care, GTFO of Iraq and avoid foolish foreign entanglements. On the other hand, those who deny that there are people who won't vote for Obama because he's black, and those who think he's a Marxist(!) are hopeless cases.

First of all I'm not quite sure what your beef with me is? I think you've decided to focus on me simply because of my screen name which is fine by me. I'm fully capable of talking about the issues in a cordial way if you would like, but i will not allow you to use words such as gullible and ignorant to describe me without lashing back at you. Now if you would like to talk about something that's fine but giving respect is a two way street.

Obama calls for freeze on home foreclosures
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081013/ap_on_el_...
Democrat Barack Obama is calling for a 90-day moratorium on foreclosures and a two-year tax break for businesses that create jobs as part of a plan to heal the nation's ailing economy.

The presidential candidate says banks that participate in the federal bailout should temporarily postpone foreclosures for families making good-faith efforts to pay their mortgage.

He also called for a $3,000 tax credit for each additional full-time job a business creates. The tax break would end after 2010.

Obama also is proposing letting people withdraw up to $10,000 from their retirement accounts without any penalty this year and next.

I wonder what is meant by a “good faith” effort to make the mortgage payment? A conversation with the bank man? Couple hundred dollars? If so, I’m doing it and taking a vacation. Whoo hoo!!

Democrats are mean-spirited?!?? I don't hear anyone at an Obama rally shouting out something about KILLING someone else. Also, the other conservatives on this site are constantly putting other people down-those who took out home loans they can't afford deserve to live on street, for example. The woman who must be proud of her 16 grandkids (which she should be) posts how horrible it is that Obama's response about taxes had something to do with sharing. What's wrong with that? They call Obama a socialist, which he's not, but if you look at what a socialist believes in there is nothing mean about it. If you look at what a capitalist believes in, it's every man, woman, and child for himself/herself. That is mean-spirited to me. What's wrong with wanting to help someone up if they've fallen, like the Democrats do? Everyone needs a hand at some time or other. The basic Democrat philosophy is making sure all people have an equal chance at sucess no matter what kind of family they were born into. I was born poor, but thanks to the ability to go to college, that is not a problem for me anymore. I am a self-reliant citizen who pays her share in taxes and donates to Toys for Tots, Child Abuse Prevention, and I donate to other children who can't afford school supplies or clothes (there are many more, but this is a good example). Is that mean spirited?

I would be happy for you if you got to take a vacation, especially if you've been drowning in debt and could use a hand up to get back on your feet. I know Republicans just can't stand the thought of someone else getting something, but quit obsessing about other people and you will feel so much better.
