Yup, someone states that they are not supporting Obama and of course they are "making up excuses" not to vote for him and are just closet racists.... Keep reaching nut-case.
Really? Someone openly states they could not vote for a black man and they aren't racist? Alrighty then...

Would all these people be terrorists too since Mr. Ayers sit on their Board? He has a personal and direct relationship with this organization and these people. If the conservative thinking of terrorist by association is acceptable then ordinary Americans and this organization are terrorists or supporting terrorism too. Conservative logic is desperate.

Bill Ayers is a white man. To associate Obama with him as a terrorist so people can make the connection that Obama is a terrorist because he is muslim and arab--all not true--then conservatives are also acknowledging white american domestic terrorists.

Be careful not to associate yourself with him in case you become a terrorist too.

Pistol shots ring out in the barroom night
Enter Patty Valentine from the upper hall.
She sees the bartender in a pool of blood,
Cries out, "My God, they killed them all!"
Here comes the story of the Hurricane,
The man the authorities came to blame
For somethin' that he never done.
Put in a prison cell, but one time he could-a been
The champion of the world.
Three bodies lyin' there does Patty see
And another man named Bello, movin' around mysteriously.
"I didn't do it," he says, and he throws up his hands
"I was only robbin' the register, I hope you understand.
I saw them leavin'," he says, and he stops
"One of us had better call up the cops."
And so Patty calls the cops
And they arrive on the scene with their red lights flashin'
In the hot New Jersey night.
Meanwhile, far away in another part of town
Rubin Carter and a couple of friends are drivin' around.
Number one contender for the middleweight crown
Had no idea what kinda shit was about to go down
When a cop pulled him over to the side of the road
Just like the time before and the time before that.
In Paterson that's just the way things go.
If you're black you might as well not show up on the street
'Less you wanna draw the heat.
Alfred Bello had a partner and he had a rap for the cops.
Him and Arthur Dexter Bradley were just out prowlin' around
He said, "I saw two men runnin' out, they looked like middleweights
They jumped into a white car with out-of-state plates."
And Miss Patty Valentine just nodded her head.
Cop said, "Wait a minute, boys, this one's not dead"
So they took him to the infirmary
And though this man could hardly see
They told him that he could identify the guilty men.

Four in the mornin' and they haul Rubin in,
Take him to the hospital and they bring him upstairs.
The wounded man looks up through his one dyin' eye
Says, "Wha'd you bring him in here for? He ain't the guy!"
Yes, here's the story of the Hurricane,
The man the authorities came to blame
For somethin' that he never done.
Put in a prison cell, but one time he could-a been
The champion of the world.
Four months later, the ghettos are in flame,
Rubin's in South America, fightin' for his name
While Arthur Dexter Bradley's still in the robbery game
And the cops are puttin' the screws to him, lookin' for somebody to blame.
"Remember that murder that happened in a bar?"
"Remember you said you saw the getaway car?"
"You think you'd like to play ball with the law?"
"Think it might-a been that fighter that you saw runnin' that night?"
"Don't forget that you are white."
Arthur Dexter Bradley said, "I'm really not sure."
Cops said, "A poor boy like you could use a break
We got you for the motel job and we're talkin' to your friend Bello
Now you don't wanta have to go back to jail, be a nice fellow.
You'll be doin' society a favor.
That sonofabitch is brave and gettin' braver.
We want to put his ass in stir
We want to pin this triple murder on him
He ain't no Gentleman Jim."
Rubin could take a man out with just one punch
But he never did like to talk about it all that much.
It's my work, he'd say, and I do it for pay
And when it's over I'd just as soon go on my way
Up to some paradise
Where the trout streams flow and the air is nice
And ride a horse along a trail.
But then they took him to the jailhouse
Where they try to turn a man into a mouse.
All of Rubin's cards were marked in advance
The trial was a pig-circus, he never had a chance.
The judge made Rubin's witnesses drunkards from the slums
To the white folks who watched he was a revolutionary bum
And to the black folks he was just a crazy negro.
No one doubted that he pulled the trigger.
And though they could not produce the gun,
The D.A. said he was the one who did the deed
And the all-white jury agreed.
Rubin Carter was falsely tried.
The crime was murder "one," guess who testified?
Bello and Bradley and they both baldly lied
And the newspapers, they all went along for the ride.
How can the life of such a man
Be in the palm of some fool's hand?
To see him obviously framed
Couldn't help but make me feel ashamed to live in a land
Where justice is a game.
Now all the criminals in their coats and their ties
Are free to drink martinis and watch the sun rise
While Rubin sits like Buddha in a ten-foot cell
An innocent man in a living hell.
That's the story of the Hurricane,
But it won't be over till they clear his name
And give him back the time he's done.
Put in a prison cell, but one time he could-a been
The champion of the world.

When I was growing up Minnesota it literally was about 98% white. Times have changed and sometimes people take longer to change. In educational (high school, college) settings I had black friends, but when I've lived in bad neighborhoods,(police looking for bullet shells and a pool of blood in the back alley ) I shied away from people of color. But I've seen good and bad people of all races and classes.

Barack Obama is an intelligent highly educated man who I believe has better policies and vision than John McCain. I voted for Clinton in the primary because I thought she would truly be a better leader, especially with the economy on the slide. But both Obama and Clinton are a better choice than McCain who just months ago said that he was not an expert on the economy.

Black people vote 90% democrat anyway, so there is really not a big change there.

But also imagine the hope you could give your African American sons and daughters if an African American was elected President. To be given an idol that says "yes we can" leave poverty, "yes we can" go to college and "yes we can" become President.

It may be enough to change the critical mass of hopelessness in some neighborhoods that leads to crime.

Please.
If Obama is not a Muslim or a terrorist. Then one has to wonder why would Palestinian terrorists brothers donate $29,521.54 to Senator Obama's campaign?
See: http://web.israelinsider.com/Articles/Politic...

Obama is not a Muslim? Then why does he need a Muslim outreach adviser?

His newly appointed Muslim outreach adviser is coming under fire for meeting with Islamic groups with extremist views, just two months after her predecessor resigned over links to a radical cleric.

He won't win, white people devilish nature won't allow them to vote for a black man but just lets say he does win, then his success has been largely based on his avoidance of the issue of race such that he rarely ever mentions discrimination and certainly NOT in front of white audiences. It’s almost like those whites are rewarding him in large measure for not talking about race, and to the extent they would abandon him in droves were he to begin talking much about racism, for he would be seen at that point as playing the race card, or appealing to "special interests" and suffer the consequences.
If race really was something we had moved beyond, then whites would be open to hearing a candidate share factual information about housing discrimination, racial profiling, or race-based inequities in health care. But whites DON’T want to hear about that S**T. They prefer to ignore them, and many are glad that Obama has downplayed them too, whether by choice, or necessity. So in order to be elected, a blk man has to PANDER to whites, in ways that NO white politician would ever have to do to people who were black or brown.
So Obama has become the Cliff Huxtable of politics and his ascent to the Presidency, if it happens, will happen only because he managed to convince enough whites that he was different, and not really black, in the way too many whites continue to think of black people, which according to every opinion survey, is not too positively. So long as whites can vote for a black man ONLY to the extent that he DOESN'T remind them of other black people, it is fair to say that white people remain mired in a racism quite profound. To the extent they view the larger black community in terms far more hostile than those reserved for Obama, Oprah, Tiger, Colin, Condoleezza, Denzel and Bill Cosby.
Your post is very racist. People who were around to know what the Civil Rights Movement was are way past what you're writing about. You've gone backwards - completely.

He is the most secretive Presidential candidate in history. He is hiding something, and ironically, would not even pass a background check to become a janitor in a government agency.

"Pat Boemer owns McGovern's Pub and Restaurant just down the street from here. He knows first hand how Norm worked with small business owners to cut the regulations that oftentimes make it hard for people to expand and/or exist. Norm understands the role of small businesses. Because of Norm's help, Pat was able to expand his restaurant, a project that employed 30 people during the expansion, and added 35 new permanent jobs. Pat -- let me tell you what Pat said about Norm Coleman. I want you to hear what one of your citizens said about this man. He said he's a breath of fresh air. And that's the kind of fresh air we need in the United States Senate.(Applause.)

Believe me when I say, we need fresh air in the United States Senate.(Applause.)

I find it interesting that none of the Republication candidates are making an issue of Obama's race...it is always the liberal media that keeps bringing up the issue again AND again AND again.

Perhaps if the media focused on the ideological differences and once-in-office-plans, race would not be such an issue compared to when the media is throwing it in peoples faces day after day...looking for a reaction so they have something to print.

BTW media, what are Obama's once-in-office plans. "Change"? Please. Give me something material instead of a concept - a hope - and I'll consider Obama. What? Obama has none? And you want me to vote for him? Do your job and focus on the issues.
