Dodd tries to rebound from setbacks

If veteran Connecticut U.S. Sen. Christopher Dodd's trademark jaunty smile seems a bit forced these days, it's no surprise.

This is the same guy who had nothing in the past ,now can pay on two very large mortgages on his salary? He also would advise us on reading and question contracts but he did not? Now he is sitting on the BANKING COMT. NO CONFLICT THERE? JUST RESIGN OR MAYBE FACE YOUR FATHERS FATE.

Dodd should either resign or be recalled.

CT has to go back to its conservative Republican credentials. The Democrats are responsible for the current mess. High fuel prices, dwindling consumer sentiment and record foreclosures. Thats the change the voters asked for in 2006 when they handed the Congress over to them.

Poor guy, did all he could to 'campaign' for a Cabinet position.
Ran for Prez, endorsed Obama, THEN
the screw-ups showed their ugly heads.
He'd sell his wife down the river if it meant he'd get something out of it.
Voters of CT - get rid of these lame brains in DC getting all they can out of the system. We should have all run for Congress for at least one term to get the retirement benefits - health
benefits like you wouldn't believe.

Dodd doesn't have a thing to worry about. He can do whatever he wants no matter how unethical (and perhaps even quasi-illegal) and he will get re-elected with a huge majority come election time. Why? The answer is obvious.... he has a D. after his name on the ballot.(That stands for Democrat, folks)- Look at the crooks that get elected in New Jersey.... we are almost as bad!

Ned Lamont should challenge him, too. That way, we'd have two Senators in exile when Dodd wins as an independent.

Senator Q-Tip could have been Obama's VP nominee, but he's never been put under electoral pressure.

The Republicans are going nowhere. Remember Brooks Johnson? Gary Franks was a joke by the time he ran against Dodd. No Republican can beat him. He's here to stay.

Under Bush and Shays you have a F--king War! No oil plan! No energy plan! No heatlh plan! The only plan is to bail out the banks, the stock market and give tax breaks to his freinds. All under his Presidentcy.
Can you think of one good thing that this President has done so far?

1. No terrorist attacks against U.S. interests since 9/11. A remarkable achievement even if you don't like him.

I'm having trouble thinking of anything good that Reid and Pelosi have done either. Collectively, our system is failing us. But it's really our fault- we put them there, didn't we? Even if you think Bush wasn't elected in 2000, he certainly was re-elected in 2004.

Turnstile,
if thats the only good thing you can think of President Bush, that is really really sad. Incidentally, I really believe the reason that their hasnt been a second terror attack has NOTHING to do with us, but more likely due to the fact that AL Quaida is more pathetic than us. They lucked out on their attack, at may well be another 10 years before they luck out again......and I agree with you on Reid/Pelosi, and the 49.5% of our moronic population who voted for Bush in 2004, and now all of the sudden are "upset".

Leggos not logos,

"Lucked out"? Are you joking or just severely out of touch with reality? Did the radical Islamists "luck out" in Madrid in 2004 (191 dead, roughly 2,000 injured)? What about in London in 2005 (57 dead,~750 injured)? Perhaps you weren't paying attention, but it seems to me that these terrorists (call them al-Qaeda, Hezbollah, Fatah al-Islam, or anything else) are pretty good at what they do. Fortunately, we're better (or, at least, have been so far-thank God). If you need proof, just ask anyone who was scheduled to fly between the UK and the US in August of 2006. I was - and, since my plane landed safely, I've got to say I'm pretty happy with the way the US (and UK) are fighting the War on Terror. The only question in my mind now is whether the terrorists would suddenly find their "luck" improving if Obama wins the presidency (I suspect they would...).

To add a few points to Turnstile's list:

2. Faith-based initiatives (even Obama agrees with this one...)
3. Toppled, captured and handed over for trial a bloodthirsty dictator, Saddam Hussein. I'll grant that the war in Iraq was largely mismanaged in its early days, but the fact remains that a genocidal maniac is no longer in power and that the Surge is clearly working...
4. Successfully trained Colombian intelligence officers to infiltrate and attack the FARC organization, leading to the safe release of 15 hostages (less than a week ago). And keep in mind that Bush managed to orchestrate this cooperation despite the Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats' best efforts to alienate Colombia - our closest and most reliable ally in the Western hemisphere - by withholding a trade pact that the Colombians unquestionably deserve.

Dani, You are absolutely correct. It's just that the democrats don't like reality. They've spent 7 years making President Bush, our troops, and the United States look bad in the eyes of the world in order to make themselves look good. It's very hard for the republicans when 99.9% of the media is pushing for Saint Obama, their new savior.

Go to google and look up 'dodd','kennedy', and "waitress sandwich" (in quotes). Look at the first link.

That is some funny stuff that is unfortunately forgotten in most circles. Thank you for that blast from the past. Ah, yes. The Dodd-Kennedy sandwich.

Dodd is a hoax. He is not at all interested in Connecticut, he is only interested in himself and the power a VIP can muster.

Lets vote this guy OUT!
