hummm... let's see.... mccains slogan is "Country First" and his beef with obama is he lacks experience... so the first major choice he makes in his campaign is to enlist the aid of someone that will help him with his campaign while subjecting America to an inexperienced polititan with no track record. someone with ZERO foreign policy experience. someone that had to ask what a VP does. someone that lost the Miss Alaska race becuz she cheated someone that fired the head of the Alaska state troopers becuz they wouldn't fire a trooper she disliked.[she used her political office for personal gain and is NOW under investigation] someone that "liked" obama before she disliked him [her personal website has recently been altered to remove the high praise she had there for obama] someone that "liked" the bridge to nowhere before she dislike it [and now denies she ever liked it] i'm sure there is much more to come... go to wiki and see how the repukes have been scrubbing her page. there must be 300 or 400 revisions in the last two or three days....[fyi, if you check the history beyond the alterations you'll find the true story behind her... lots of dirt out there]

Obama has the same amount of experience as President Lincoln had when he was elected. That's also more experience that the corrupt Palin can claim. Curtis Lowe wrote: BUT SHE HAS NO EXPERIENCE! Oh wait, I meant he has no experience. As in Obama. Obama has no experience. I think sex will trump race in this election. Palin is all woman, but Barry is only half-white.

Yet she still has more executive experience than Obama and Biden combined, now thats funny. Les Moore wrote: Wait a minute - I thought experience was sooooo important. Why would a candidate of 72 who has had cancer choose a running mate that is 44 years old and has two years experience as governor of a very very small (population) state? I guess all that "experience" crap was just that - political crap. In fact that's all this pick is - trying to get all the Hillary fems. It's total BS.

On the face of it, Palin is a good choice, bright, articulate, attractive with a penchant for tilting at windmills......all good. On the not so good side, one has to question the judgment of a woman, who despite having four beautiful children, would go for a fifth one, at the age of 43, knowing full well, that Down's syndrome is a strong possibility in mother's of her age. Heck, these days, just having five children has to bring her judgment into question. She is also a creationist...can you imagine that in a president? Have you not had enough religion in politics with GWB? That said, she will certainly bring a new dimension to the Mac campaign.....its gonna be an interesting ride!!

Just Off Center wrote: Remember, Obama has only spent 140 days actually at work as a Senator, the remainder of the time he has been on the campaign trail. This is a documented fact. ACTUALLY - that is misleading - he was an Illinois STATE senator for 8 years before he became a US Senator representing the state of IL. Lets keep it real folks. lets keep it real. Obama received 70% of the vote to his opponent's 27%, the largest victory margin for a statewide race in Illinois history. He was sworn into office January 4, 2005.

Sarah Palin is a great American beautiful woman who has more executive experience of seven years than Barack Obama and Bidden together. Sarah Palin did so much for her city in Alaska as executive mayor during five years and so much for the people of Alaska as executive Governor during two years including her approval of building oil and gas pipe to save US from dependency on Iranian and Russian oil. It is not surprising that the 80% of people of Alaska give her good ratings as governor. Obama has an empty resume as he was meeting with criminal anti-American black youth in the Chicago as community activist, which is ‘nonsense experience’. He was 143 days as US Senator who fought against US troops by cutting their funds and defeating them while awarding victory to the Islamic terrorists of al Qaida. Obama represent the radical left America hater liberals who went to Berlin, Germany to tell the Germans that America is bad. What a liberal anti-American loser whose name is Barack Obama!

Ric Ricland wrote: <quoted text> It's the same incredibly bad judgment McCain has shown all of his career. It showed when he partyted at Annapolis instead of hitting the books. He showed it as a POW-collaborator (powmccain.org), he showed it with Keating. He showed it with his Amnesty bill. He showed it when he picked Phil Gramm to be his Treasury Secretary. The simple fact is, there's a disconnect in McCain's brain. He's incapable of making the right decision. The piece in his brain use to evaluated things is either not working or not there. Choosing Palin tells us the guy is a loose canon, that once made the most powerful man in history chances are he'll make the most disastrous blunder in history. People everywhere should be scared witless at the prospect of McCain becoming president. Bush was incompetent. McCain is just plain nuts. ricland You are spot on. I wouldn't hold the collaboration thing against him though, unless you have undergone a similar experience. His fondness for shooting craps is evident, and this time we'll see..... Seven's all the way, or snake eyes?? Time will tell!

Your right I didnt no who Sarah Palin was a week ago. But who knew who Barack Obama was before 2004? Wait I take that back who actually really knows who he is now? OneRyder wrote: I guess the experience issue's the right was harping on has gone out the window. Now, if elected, McCain who would be the oldest President elected, has decided his replacement to run the country would be a person younger than Obama, who's was just Mayor of a small town in Alaska before becoming Governor. I don't think any Repubs on this board would have been able to call her name if asked who she was.

If the Republicans are so pro-military, explain to me why they don't re-institute the draft so that the danger and hard work defending the country can be spread across all socio-economic strata? Because they don't want their own children to have to bear the cost of their decisions. It's easier to send someone else's child off to get killed, especially when there is no chance you will run into their parents at the country club. Mayor of a small town? Governor of a state no bigger than a mid sized town? Those qualifications are sufficient experience for one who would be just a hair's breadth of the presidency? Perhpas with a few years experience in Washington under her belt, but with a 72 year old president, of less than certain health, thats a big, big risk!

But I sure wouldn't vote for Palin who is against equal rights for women. She is also pro-life with no compromise at all. She already takes care of five kids including one with special needs. She says they don't beleive in birth control so what if she gets pregnant again? Palin is a step backwards for women. And if the old fart's cancer comes back or he has a vapor lock, I wouldn't want her sitting in the oval office.
