North Carolina Approves Ban on Gay Marriage

How absolutely sickening that they would be so backwards and bigoted when it comes to a persons love life with another human. I used to want to move to NC, I don't any longer. I would not move to a state (when I don't have to) that can be so backwards moving in their civil rights ideals. What's next, segregation coming back into fashion down there?
This makes me so absolutely sad. And the picture I saw on the news article just made me sick, someone cutting a wedding cake, with a male groom and female bride on the top.
I'm glad that there are other states that have passed gay marriage laws.

Hey dude, who you want to live with is your business, but any attempt to elevate it into an equal status in the eyes of the law as with a marriage between a man and a woman is incorrect. A union of a holy marriage between members of the same sex is not a holy marriage.
Any other union can be protected by contracts and wills.
Personally, I believe the issue was promoted by trial lawyers that make tons of money off of divorces. Yep, there would be divorces within the gay community.
