I know you cannot remember the little girl you hugged at Disneyland in the summer many years ago, but it was me. I was crying and you put your arms around me and asked what the matter was. I told you how ugly and dumpy I felt at the time and you sang me a song about how beauty is as beauty does and told me that beauty, real beauty comes from the inside not the outside. You said that I was a pretty girl and I should always smile that it made my eyes light up. I have tried hard to live by what you said. I thank you Annette and as all my life, I will forever love you as my number one secret pal and friend. You have always been my friend in my heart and it has been a Golden Friendship that is for sure. I Pray for your family and you my dearest life long Golden Friend. I had a hard childhood and your music and movies helped me then,and now as an adult I too have MS, but your courage gives me courage now. If you have ever wondered "why me" well perhaps you have MS to show the rest of us how to deal with it thru grace,charm,dignity and your lovely life example. God be with you. He holds your hand. I feel i grew up with you. The Mickey Mouse Club was on every day. You were my favorit. I had your records and pictures. I have a book with all the mouseketeers. I`ve had it for years and i`ll have it forever. I also have a mickey Mouse pin. It`s really old. I don`t know where it came from but it sure is a keepsake. I grew up watching you and all the "Mouseketeers" and as an all american boy I was in love with you. I watched all your movies over the years and when I saw your life story on T.V. I was shocked and inspired.I know miracles happen all the time and I am praying for yours. God Bless you and all your family.

Dear Annette,

I want you to know you are such a special person and always have been. You were my role model. I feel so very sorry for all the young girls growing up now; they don't have the beautiful person like you to look up to. Please know young girls come and go over the years but there is only one ANNETTE FUNICELLO.
